Re: Alzheimer's & Its Prevention: Listen Up Yuckmouths

Sounds like he is a tough man. Purely by happenstance my wife was walking home from grocery shopping yesterday and saw our good friend’s mom in a park on the way. She stopped to say hi, but the mom—who we’ve known for decades—couldn’t recognize her. She said it was pretty bizarre and chilling. My d...

I know Ido did a whole thing of hanging resolving shoulder issues. Maybe look it up. People seemed to do well with whatever the protocol was.

Re: shoe recommendation wanted

If you're actually doing a lot of lunges, I'd just wear a cross trainer, like a NB minimus. Altra makes some day to day shoes that will have plenty of cushion for 8+ hours on your feet

This fucking savage squatted something like 407 for 23 reps when he weighed maybe 160 and you faggots are tickling each other's buttholes helping Timmah learn to be tactical before his bum fight with the town drunk.

RIP Dr Ken

Heard he passed away recently.

I'd actually be going back to look at his writings lately. Probably the most sensible, and IMO, the most interesting of the old HIT crew.

It gets weirder. Lt. Gov. Fairfax's accuser, age ~42, used to date Rep. Bobby Scott (VA-D), age 71. This 30 year age difference seems to be a thing in Democratic party politics (NTTAWWT).
But did he help to advance her career?

The number 1-3 officers/executives in Virginia: black face, #metoo, black face.

I can't remember who said it, but I read a joke congratulating Illinois and New Jersey on not having the most garbage state governments.

Agreed. I think everyone with a role of any significance is doing a great job, and the story is good.

Thanks, Fats. He's survived liver cancer, lung cancer, and is living with prostate cancer but never slowed down til his memory began to fade.

He's probably the toughest guy I know.

I'm guessing just regular creatine monohydrate? I remember hearing/reading something about the neuroprotective benefits of creatine like 13 years ago when I was in college, and then promptly forgetting about it.

Ironic.

Interesting. My dad is in the early stages of dementia.

I've been interested in the role sleep, or a lack thereof, plays in the development of dementia.

I thought it was good. It was very different than you'd expect from even recent Clint Eastwood films. Felt kind of like his goodbye story.

It's how weak his voice has gotten that really tips his age, IMO.

Re: Looking 3 Years Younger

Interesting. The woman in the NYTimes photos does look more youthful. My hypothesis: if people see/treat you as younger, you will enjoy greater youth. Essentially, be younger. For that reason, I avoid any kind of "age-appropriate" community or endeavor. I do young man's stuff in measured doses. It'...

Re: Apparently you CAN sit on your ass and juice

Smet, you missed my point. IIRC, Lyle used to talk about studies like this as evidence of the impact steroids can have. If you can sit on your ass and get bigger, what does that mean when you train, take higher dosages/different compounds, eat for growth etc? I heard Branch Warren and Mark Bell talk...

Lyle talked about similar studies, iirc. Back before he had that total bonkers breakdown.

One of the things that pisses me off about the "steroids don't do as much as you think" crowd is stuff like this.

Edited: no reason to slam someone by name who's not here to respond.

Konstantin Konstantinovs dead

Saw Stan Efferding post about his passing. No cause specified from what I can tell. He was only 40.
