Re: Economy or Minimizing Risk?
It's very funny to me. All the Karens (lot's of male Karens out there surprisingly) screaming about JUST ONE LIFE and PROTECT MY KIDS and IT's GOING EXPONENTIAL are gonna get ignored once the power tripping Govs realize that revenue is non-existent and things like CALPERS continue to exist. Cuomo an...

From Attia who I dig. Sadly, we're going to find we tortured thousands to death with respirators for no reason. https://peterattiamd.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Exogenous-pulmonary-surfactant-as-a-potential-adjuvant-therapy-in-SARS-CoV-2-patients-experiencing-acute-respiratory-distress-syndrome_-...

Been wearing the Keens. I like. Sturdier. The toe is weird. Could be even better once the stiffish sole gets broken in.

Re: My last pair of Tevas are done. Is Teva crap now like everything else?
Thanks for the replies everybody. Ordered some Keen H20s and Teva Terra Fis. Aussie Luke those sandals look great but I've never worn ones with the strap running that way. Always had the strap across the instep. I've put a lot of miles in running with sandals. But I'm a Van Aaken guy and just cruise...

My last pair of Tevas are done. Is Teva crap now like everything else?
Bought a few pairs of Tevas about 10 years ago. The last one is done. Need some new sandals I can hike (not insane terrain) and jog in. I am assuming Teva is now crap like everything else that used to be good.
Any other brands?
Idk maybe Teva is still good quality.

Salvini is going to be King of Italy in a year and Globalism is dead if this is real. Personally still unconvinced but strong reaction from Western Govs is disconcerting. I bought masks for the olds in January. Dumb chinamen created a bioweapon to ride the Han ACE2 for some inscrutable reason. We'll...

Tyger tyger burning bright... I'm right about everything Steven. In a high-strung neurotic annoying way. But still... Holdstock's Iron Grail series is impossibly good. That and Gene Wolfe's Soldier of the Mist are the top for me. At least as far as genre transcending art. The caveat with Wolfe is of...

Re: Right now I'm reading
Another good book on the subject is Friedman's Exodus. He's not an archaeologist but a literature guy. It's a minimalist take wrapped in a goofy psuedo-maximalist package. Idk I found it brilliant and absurd: the argumentation brilliant and the rationalization absurd. He basically comes down to a po...

Powered through the first three books listed in link for ISRAEL FINKELSTEIN (looooool I laugh out loud every time oh jesus that name mel brooks is like that's too over the top c'mon). He's a minimalist biblical archaeologist and a solid writer. The third book he wrote in conjunction with Mazar who i...

Let's all stipulate I'm low IQ and certifiably insane. The fact remains that in the above document the Fed Gov charged a man with trolling for kids using "pizza" as code. This could be either an artefact of the pizzagate brouhaha and he began using it because of the notoriety. Or that this...

3 excellent books: 2 sci-fi and one Fantasy
The sci-fi books are both by Glen Cook: A passage at arms and The Dragon Never Sleeps. The fantasy book was Holdstock's Mythago Wood. Glen Cook is a truly great pulp novelist and I've read an embarrassing amount of his books and would recommend them all. These are no different. Passage is a blatant ...

Re: Another Saudi Terrorist
Truth. But we don't need the petrodollar. It was a failure to understand the ramifications of Nixon taking us off the gold std. once that happened, and as Mosler made clear in the original MMT books, we had the power to directly inject currency into the economy because tax revenue no longer funds g...

This is excellent as well but long because the author for some unknown reason thinks his ideas and ideology are valuable. But there is no more accurate account of the regime mindset from the actual (non-conservative) right-wing than what Codevilla lays out here. https://www.tabletmag.com/jewish-arts...

Funny. I just read Wilton's Russia's Agony and The Last Days of the Romanov's. Can't recommend them enough. Wilton was chief correspondent for the leading British paper at the time of the recolution and saw everything first hand. It is heavy on the pro-English and anti-german stuff which is annoying...

What kind of world are we living in that the US even trains Saudi pilots? The kind of world where the Saudis keep the petrodallar afloat and buy billions of $$ worth of genocide, I mean weapons, from us every year. If the Saudis wanted to fuck us up ROYALLY, all they'd have to do is start selling o...
