Re: Eye of the Goat

I was about to say that I do want to post workouts mostly and to have results. But if that were true I would have done different things. I mean the things that happened happened but it shouldn't have taken me seven hours to wind down from the broken bowl incident, or had the knock-on effects. An hou...

Re: Eye of the Goat

Part of the problem is that I keep thinking about things. I didn't have to think about how shitty my sister was treating me while rehabbing my knee -- I knew she was a nightmare person on the second day at her place. I could have, should have, left right then. Rented a car if possible or otherwise f...

Re: Eye of the Goat

I have some things I have to do this week. Then I'll pay some debts I've let slide. Then write or call some people. I'll try to put some essays out there but I don't know if I have it in me.

I'll try to lift for the time being.

Re: Eye of the Goat

Because I'm too cowardly to go on a killing spree and too weak to carry out a well-planned suicide, I have to have the means on hand to kill myself immediately the next time I do something like I just did. I went to get the item several weeks ago but didn't. I have to have that in a cabinet or somet...

I didn't like Bernie at all before one minute ago. But if HRC hates him he might not be all bad.

Re: Eye of the Goat

Got to stop having days like yesterday. Flatlined today.

I keep dreaming about juggling.

While it's true that I'm really tired, I have to find ways to be productive anyway. Also have to have more good inputs -- reading, good movies, good conversation, etc.

Re: Eye of the Goat

Going to write an essay or three on today's mistakes. Too tired to lay this out in detail but could not power down for the night until I made note of it.

Re: Eye of the Goat

I often forget how tired I am. What I mean is, I'm tired all the time except when I get wound up and then I don't take into consideration how tired I am. Likewise I don't account for how impaired my thinking is. I also sort of forget how I appear to people. And how people are. And what I can really ...

Re: Eye of the Goat

I don't know why I refuse to accept that I can't do things. It even took me five tries to write that sentence. My brain is deteriorating. Plus I do things that, I mean, even I'm not really that stupid -- anyone who is too dumb to win a chess game where he's up a whole rook would never be up a rook t...

Re: Jump rope

Last time I did rope skipping I spent the extra for a heavy rope with the bearings in the handles (this was decades ago, they probably make something better now). Getting good rope speed without a lot of effort helps a lot when you're struggling to learn the movements. In general I think we should d...

I'm amazed. You are a different species. If I hit a deadlift PR, I get home as fast as I can before my nervous system shuts down, go comatose and don't leave the house for two days.. To do a mountain hike for two hours? Damn, I feel tired just thinking about it.

Re: Eye of the Goat

SQ -- 135 -- actually I just tried to put the bar on my back and it didn't feel right at all. Don't know why exactly. Will try to see what's going on with an empty bar. Maybe some shoulder mobility work? BP -- 135 -- 5 reps that felt not good at all. My right shoulder, the one I did something to in ...

Re: Eye of the Goat

I have been looking for ways to make myself do the right things and only the right things. I'm going to try to build even more external systems and to be way more simplistic in my actions: Is this good? If not, stop right there, don't do it. I feel kind of clogged with my essays. I'm going to try to...

Re: The Virtue and the Way

I'm often amazed at how people treat me based on what is, or isn't, in my mind and energy. People seem incredibly aware of other people's intentions in a way that I don't seem to be, or nearly as much. Things like your chessboard incident happen frequently in my life but I've noticed a huge variatio...

Re: Eye of the Goat

As mentioned before, I do know there's something wrong with me but it's a dull ache most of the time. I just had another clear jolt of undeniable proof that I'm . . . shit, stupid and insane doesn't begin to cover it. I'm seriously just wrong in some way that I don't understand. It hurts so much. I ...

Some bouts of nausea today. Don't know what's going on. Coughing is reduced but that might be due to downing alka seltzer every four hours.

Re: Eye of the Goat

Yesterday I felt semi-normal. I'm baffled by this bout of ill-ness. My best guess is that I'm terrified of the murder-suicide I should do. I hate just pulling the plug without taking any of the bad people with me. That causes a lot of my depression actually. I have to get to the clinic for more test...

No, they just aren't powerful anymore, therefore people pretend to care. Drugs are pervasive everywhere, it's only condemned when and where it's convenient to do so.

What would a rucking PR look like?

For me it would be completing a long walk without having to take a shit in someone's yard.

Re: Eye of the Goat

Possibly, but I haven't wanted any carbs. Had to force myself to have what I did.

Today is better. I bought a new comforter and new pillowcases. Also opened the window in my bedroom and let it air out all day. I think I was keeping myself contaminated by not doing those things.

It essentially never happens that I feel this bad for this long. I will call for an apt at the clinic if I don't feel better tomorrow. I've been downing copious amounts of alka seltzer and cough syrup to keep the coughing down at least. Food intake -- Thursday 1 1/2 pork chops. Friday nothing Saturd...

Re: Eye of the Goat

Sleep has been bad still. Around 1:30 Friday night I was thinking, "okay, I wasn't actually sick, just a raspy cough" (I basically never get sick). Well, no. Nausea, dizziness, no appetite, sleep is fitful when I get to sleep at all, yuck. I'll go to the store to get the usual: alka-seltzer, couch s...
