Re: H-town flood

Yeah. No worries.

Other folks aren't as lucking. Imelda caught everyone off guard as it'd moved north and east a bit, then some bands of rain came around and just dumped a bunch of water.

Not as bad as Harvey, and a lot drained quickly but still quite a bit of floodign.

Unpopular. We need to GTFO. Sell them the fucking weapons but we don't need our taxpayer money and our armed forces doing jobs for them

Re: NOT Born That Way

The happiest societies are those without sexual hang ups.

The most miserable are those who have them. And they are distinctly interested in fucking up the happy societies vibe.

See Pacific Islanders and Missionaries for a great example of this.

sigfrith777 or something like that.

Glenn was a lifter's lifter and coach, and I too will miss him. His stroke diminished him somewhat, but he recovered. But the whole thing with Muscle Driver USA was weird, here he was, Pendlay bars, Pendlay bumpers, Pendlay DoWin shoes, then nothing.

It boils down to "might makes right". Populations moved in, fucked up the local populations, and took over. This is SOP during homo sapiens history. As far as other hominids? Homo Sapiens were flat out more adaptable to more conditions and circumstances The neanderthal were stable for 100000s of tho...

Re: Random Things I've Been Adding

Ive done tibialis work since I got "Maximum Calves" by Health for Life in the early 90s. In fact, tibialis work itself contributed significantly to bulletproofing my ankles when I played rugby. Most of what I've done is a reverse calf raise or single leg reverse calf raise off a step, but you can le...

Re: Old Scratch: Welcome Home Faithful Servant

South Africa was about what I expected. Armed Response signs everywhere. There were 15 murders in Cape Town one night while we were there, black gang members murdering other black gang members. I checked official homelessness numbers and it's clear the government is under-reporting significantly. Be...

Re: Pavel Tsatsouline is a Fraud by Steve Cotter

It is a good point that he was vetted by the US Gov. But that basically means he is a legitimate immigrant, that he probably has a degree in some sort of physical training (ballet is a legit art) and that he's got no ties to sketchy shit overseas. It almost certainly means he wasn't IN spetznaz or a...

Heh, funny this was revisited.

Someone, a while ago claimed Pavel's education was in ballet, which was why his first books were about stretching and abs.

Re: Secular Trends in Obesity (i.e. Why We're Fatter)

Guyanet went over this with regards to his hyperpalatable foods theory. Today's junk foods have been scientifically honed to cause over-eating and craving. Despite what the study says, you can see that kids, in particular, have far less physical activity than they did in the past. Fat kid + fat adul...

Are you ok, Benny? Or are you swinging manic at this point? I met Taubes and asked him about his foundation's study's results and he explained the researcher was an asshole. Which everybody viewed skeptically. He seems pretty beat down and unwilling to engage in talking about how carbs make you fat...

Re: Pavhole's new book is out today

To be frank Selouyanov's lectures are all over the place in terms of the quality of information. At times he says things that make me cringe. We can argue about his ideas of how to train various muscle fibers and mitochondria in them - I couldn't find publications under his name on this topic, but ...

Re: "The Boys" on Amazon Prime

Ennis' distaste for typical superhero tropes is well known.

Ergo him doing The Preacher and The Boys, and also Crossed.

IMO The Boy's is a realistic extrapolation of how the whole super hero thing would pan out, corruption, perversion, etc

Pizza Gate hasn't turned out to be real.

Epstein taking assorted elites to an island has been real, but there is only accusations of pedophilia as of yet there has been no evidence found unless I'm missing something
