CBD does nothing for me either. But I will tell you what does; Psilocybin Mushrooms. Here is a wonderful link so I don't have to type so much... https://thethirdwave.co/microdosing/mushrooms/#benefits-and-risks I’ve read the r/microdosing subreddit a fair bit and it is difficult to sift through the...

Re: Ideas for "20 Years of Pavel Tsatsouline" series

True. I've never found the conventional wisdom to be true; upper body pulling, for me anyway, doesn't develop biceps strength and size the way single joint does. Not so triceps. Same here. I've never needed any tri specific work. What they get from close grip, dips, overheads etc is enough. Biceps ...

I'm not sure why that hit the right button, but I haven't laughed that hard at a post in a long time.

Sua Sponte, if you saw this thread that Mak posted, there are some goodies in there.

Re: Ideas for "20 Years of Pavel Tsatsouline" series

Having been introduced to weightlifting via the Arthur Jones HIT method, undoubted contributions for me were more frequent, not to failure, and the deadlift being the key fundamental lift. With Jones, deadlifting was relegated mostly to SLDL with the squat being king. If PTTP has an issue, IMHO, it...

I guess you could work to prevent it from becoming more prevalent. But is it in fact becoming more prevalent? The percentages increasing? Have you felt the pull, for example. Think you’re susceptible to the spread? Is this what's really going on with Steve Freides? He saw a guy who was like this ht...

He kept to that basic formula in Power to the People , which remains an excellent primer for people interested in strength training. Even just recently I was doing a program very similar to it: press, pull, curls, just like in the book, for frequent low-volume workouts and getting great results. Hi...

Re: Carnivore diet post re: Dr Shawn Baker's bloodwork

Doesn't anybody here remember Green Ghost's diet? I'm having trouble with it, but I thought it was something like; - A breakfast burrito for breakfast - A regular lunch - A breakfast burrito at dinner to confuse your metabolism. Not sure I got that 100% right, but it seems to be the ticket for heal...

Re: Is it all diet from here on in? What's left to learn in training techniques?

I believe Mr. Weck would like a word. JMO, but there's a fair bit of not-remotely-perfected material on optimizing for the over-40/50+ set. To pick up on that: IMHO, there are some solid resources for lifting, and even some for nutrition, mobility, etc. but there are precious few which show folks h...

I’m doing 5/3/1 as well. But like I mentioned in regard to this thread, I have a proclivity for taking the RM set to failure - which I need to stop doing.

Right now I’m on the 4 day / wk triumvirate from 2nd edition.

It's a terrible disease. My Grandma had it. I was her power of attorney from 2013 - 2017 until she died. The chilling part for me was the loss of not just recognition of people, or forgetting things like numbers and stuff... but forgetting long ingrained and practiced skills. She could knit and crot...

Hey Mak. To this day I still think about the time we traded Clubbells and I called you way to fucking early in the morning because I forgot about the time difference... Sorry to read about Andy too. I was going to ask you how S&C etc is going, but I read Squatz and Oatz. Seems you're doing alright.

In any event, I did buy it. It might have been a reflexive buy in order to hurry up and navigate away from Friedophile's avatar, but I grabbed it off Amazon for kindle. There wasn't much noise - but that is because there wasn't much content either. I read the whole book in less than 40 minutes with ...

So, I'm 6'4" and 300 (I'm not as fat as I sound. I swear. A lifetime of Lifting and judo). I have a an Evolution Pro or Comp (I forget which. Small wheel, big flat fan blade, large upright pillar with monitor at the top) I ride it with the seat all the way down. Never any problems. My only two comp...

Speaking of this; I was looking at Kettlebell USA's metrixx elite... It appears to me that there is a greater distance between the handle and the ball than there is on their regular metrixx ones (as well as more distance than on other brands I have owned / seen). Can anyone confirm this as true? Equ...

How much does this site cost per year? I assume it's a higher capacity hosting plan / or even a dedicated server?? Is there a better option than the paypal racket, like google wallet?
