Re: Is it all diet from here on in? What's left to learn in training techniques?

I believe Mr. Weck would like a word. JMO, but there's a fair bit of not-remotely-perfected material on optimizing for the over-40/50+ set. To pick up on that: IMHO, there are some solid resources for lifting, and even some for nutrition, mobility, etc. but there are precious few which show folks h...

Re: Carnivore diet post re: Dr Shawn Baker's bloodwork

Doesn't anybody here remember Green Ghost's diet? I'm having trouble with it, but I thought it was something like; - A breakfast burrito for breakfast - A regular lunch - A breakfast burrito at dinner to confuse your metabolism. Not sure I got that 100% right, but it seems to be the ticket for healt...

Re: Reload by Pavel

I’m doing 5/3/1 as well. But like I mentioned in regard to this thread, I have a proclivity for taking the RM set to failure - which I need to stop doing.

Right now I’m on the 4 day / wk triumvirate from 2nd edition.

Re: Alzheimer's & Its Prevention: Listen Up Yuckmouths

It's a terrible disease. My Grandma had it. I was her power of attorney from 2013 - 2017 until she died. The chilling part for me was the loss of not just recognition of people, or forgetting things like numbers and stuff... but forgetting long ingrained and practiced skills. She could knit and crot...

Hey Mak. To this day I still think about the time we traded Clubbells and I called you way to fucking early in the morning because I forgot about the time difference... Sorry to read about Andy too. I was going to ask you how S&C etc is going, but I read Squatz and Oatz. Seems you're doing alright.

In any event, I did buy it. It might have been a reflexive buy in order to hurry up and navigate away from Friedophile's avatar, but I grabbed it off Amazon for kindle. There wasn't much noise - but that is because there wasn't much content either. I read the whole book in less than 40 minutes with ...

So, I'm 6'4" and 300 (I'm not as fat as I sound. I swear. A lifetime of Lifting and judo). I have a an Evolution Pro or Comp (I forget which. Small wheel, big flat fan blade, large upright pillar with monitor at the top) I ride it with the seat all the way down. Never any problems. My only two comp...

Re: Rogue vs. Perform Better KBs

Speaking of this; I was looking at Kettlebell USA's metrixx elite... It appears to me that there is a greater distance between the handle and the ball than there is on their regular metrixx ones (as well as more distance than on other brands I have owned / seen). Can anyone confirm this as true? Equ...

How much does this site cost per year? I assume it's a higher capacity hosting plan / or even a dedicated server?? Is there a better option than the paypal racket, like google wallet?

I'm going to go down on the 14th and 15th for work, and will check out Ice Dragon. Not that I won't even look at the others, but that one holds the most appeal. I have very little and limited MA experience, so thanks for the answers.

Those with martial knowledges

So my hometown used to contain only McDojangs, i.e., a couple taekwondo schools located in strip malls where 1st graders could test for their black belt after putting in a hard 12 months of study. In the years I have been gone, things have changed, and now there is; 1. Ryobu-Kai Karate 2. Green drag...

If you want rogue, I have a 32 and a 40 kg I'll sell you or trade you for something. Not recommended for snatches, cleans, or anything where the handle rotates in your grip - whatever else that might be. They are far too rough IMO. For swings, presses, etc, they're fine. PM me if interested.

I shouldn't even say this because lifting that amount of weight is impressive, and no doubt a lot of training and effort went into it. Nevertheless, I find myself disappointed when I see lifting straps... no matter how petty that makes me seem. If Konstantinovs, Magnusson, Bolton can pull 950 to 1,...
