Re: Redbelt

Nah, that is a little extreme. Redbelt should be a more serious fight movie.
Bas Rutten did the training for that movie though.

Redbelt

Anyone else think this looks like a good movie? David Mamet has done some great stuff in the past, hope this lives up to his reputation. The trailers and clips that I have seen look interesting enough for me to spend the $7 to see this movie.
Thoughts???/

Re: What is worth watching on Cable?

Not complete commercial free but the commercials are usually less than 2min each break with about 4 -5 breaks for a 2 hour movie.

Re: What is worth watching on Cable?

I pay the extra every month just to keep all of the Military, Discover, and History channels. I watch a lot of the real estate shows. AMC always has good movies on at some point during the day. I have recorded, The Logest Day, The Karate Kid, Apollo 13, Hunt for Red October, and Die Hard on AMC in j...

Re: Ezekiel Bread

Just the plain old EZ bread is the shiznit for toast, sammies, all of it. It has been about the only kind of bread that I have eaten over the past few years. We also buy this really good 12 grain organic bread that is even more hearty than the EZ bread. I think it is Nature Farms or some thing like ...

Nothing ever like what he has done with this movie. Yeah, the guy has some twisted shit in his movies but nothing that would scare any more than a 5 yr old.

Re: Sweeney Todd

I think people see Tim Burton and believe that this is going to be a feel good kinda movie. I for one am excited to see it but will probably wait on the DVD. Going to the movies is not all it used to be when I was a kid. I prefer the Mitsubishi, a dark room, and a beer with my movies now.

Re: Lowes vs Home Depot

Down with them both. I stopped going to the Home Depot in Allen because the people were rude when you could find someone to help you. The store was a complete mess and no one seemed to care and pick things up. When I moved to my current location, the nearest Home Depot is in Wylie. This store is abo...

It was not a good movie at all. It was okay to sit through to waste some time though. Guns, fast cars, Amy Smart's boob... it was okay.

Okay so No Country for Old Men was a decent movie. The ending was a little out there but over all it was worth the $7 admission price. The suppressed shotgun was kick ass. The basic plot of the movie if you have not seen the previews is a guy finds a bag of money and a truck load of dope. He keeps ...

LOL! Half the characters in Fargo die.

I liked it a lot. Good flick.
Nothing wrong with Fargo. Just lots of killing in this movie.

The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini This book was really great. I enjoyed reading it on vacation and never really wanted to put it down. I finished the books 375 pages in 3 days. The book is a story about pre-Russia invasion of Afghanistan through the Taliban years. It follows a family that escaped ju...

Clint's Texas Salsa

I guess this applies to the Texas folks more than anyone. I bought a jar of this stuff looking for alternatives to Joe T's for when we don't make our own. This stuff is better than almost anything else on the shelves. It has a sweet spicy taste but not a light your ass on fire after effect. Very goo...

I picked up the book this weekend and just reading in to the first few sections of this is awesome. The background and intro material is cool to read about his start in the sport but the color photos and walk through of the techniques is worth the price of the book. While it may not be geared toward...

I like travelocity. Never had any problems with their service. They are typically a little higher than priceline, etc. but no problems. Many times there are ways to get cheaper fares through the airlines but you gotta be risky.
