Re: Still not going gently into that good night

Lazy on posting, but today was nice,

Paddleboarding on a partially frozen lake, temp was 32 degrees. About an hour of hard paddling, the only person in sight. Perfect.

He’s a crafty, cunning piece of work, for sure. Zero doubt in my mind the world’s best con artist in history ever . That the exact moral opposite of a right wing Christian in every possible way can win their eternal worship is probably his greatest accomplishment. I offer him many clappies. Of cours...

Re: What to make of the election?

the obstruction charge is ludicrous. If the House wanted to they could have challenged the administration's refusal in court, but did they? No. Trump’s strategy with everything in life is to litigate the hell out of it, dragging things out and running out the clock. No different here. Everyone know...

Creepy

They DNA sequenced the shit out of that virus lickety-split, which hopefully will allow us to track and control the outbreak, if not whip up a vaccine.

China will be eating muslim-flavored soylent green as their main diet soon enough.

Re: What to make of the election?

I am pretty sure Hunter Biden was completely unaware of efforts to coerce our ally to provide a personal political favor by illegally holding back funds, and would have absolutely nothing to contribute to the case at hand (Trump's corrupt actions and obstruction) with his testimony. Might as well s...

Re: What to make of the election?

Because Biden wasn't involved in holding back the funds in order to coerce our ally to provide a personal political favor.

Bolton and Mulvaney were.

Re: What to make of the election?

Fats, is it acceptable to suspend U.S. aid ($400M) illegally to get a foreign power to deliver political dirt on a rival? That's what happened. That's only one possible framing of the situation. Another would be, is it appropriate for the president to withhold foreign aid contingent upon cooperatio...

Hillary Clinton calling someone a career politician... Just want to point out she didn’t run for any office until she was 53. And she is likely the most exonerated politician ever. More Teflon than the Pumpkin Headed Malarkatron that she beat by 3,000,000 votes, who had to pay $2M for fucking up ru...

Evidence of what? Which crime? You may want to open up your range of preferred news sources a bit. I prefer no news, but truly my two main sources are Reuters and the Beeb. Both of which have made it clear that Trump has not actually been accused of any crime, just abuse of power (undefined) and ob...

Re: Right now I'm reading

I just finished Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, gets two thumbs up. Very tense book, sci-fi. Let someone else read the first few pages, and they insisted I loan it to them, then and there. Rolled right into its sequel, Authority , which builds on the tension from the first book. Page turner. Will g...

Lay down on a hard EVA roller, one leg at a time, starting right up the top by the hip, roll, rest your weight on it, then lift your foot up and down while applying weight, and work your way down to close to the knee.

Re: Rucking Thread

Also, an indoor version of heavy hands where you step on and off a platform can be useful for winter months. When I travel, a go-to workout is to just grab a DB from the hotel gym and do laps in the hotel stairwell. Usually just one 45 or 50, swapping hands and using the free hand to pull on the ra...
