Re: Stranger Things

Bram, same...the wife and I started watching it last week. I saw something a few days ago that was critical of the series relative to all the smoking. Hilarious...we can recreate the past only so long as we avoid the vices of that time. Makes sense.

Re: Right now I'm drinking

I'm not much of a beer guy but I have to admit I'm totally into the Gose (sour) stuff. At first, about a year or so ago when I heard about it, I was like, no fuckin' way am I drinking that shit. Then my son said stop being a pussy and try it. So I ordered one and finished it. And then I got another....

1. Continue to be good looking. 2. For once really learn how to open a butterfly knife and look cool while doing it. 3. Improve my personal hygiene. 4. Spend less time playing Words With Friends while sitting on the crapper. 5. Create multiple fake personas on various social media platforms to sprea...

I can't even begin to imagine what life would be like for me if I had all the superpowers that Spells possesses.

...I've asked the wife for a set of Garmin Vector 3 pedals as an anniversary gift...they have a power meter built into each pedal... What if you have her sit on that pedal and hammer her? Measure your power? I like where you're going here but I need to remind you that this is a serious thread and t...

Re: 2018 Goals

I competed in a figure contest, natural, in an untested meet. So I didn't win. :) But, it was well worth the journey and humbling myself enough to do what I was told and get on stage at the end. I learned a lot about myself and my self-imposed limitations. Siggy, I saw what you did and much respect...

I gots a querestion for Timmah...

So Tim, if I may call you Tim...let's say you were in a prolonged funk and was high and drunk and you wrote something down to clarify your thoughts and there was a slightly clever poetic tinge to it and you texted it to a buddy who showed it to a bartender in Nashville, and two years later you're dr...

Assassin's Creed Odyssey...I put sword and fire to Athenian cities and make them bow to their Spartan masters.

It's a great stress reliever.
And that's exactly why I play.

So are we gonna talk about GoT or what?

It ended Sunday after premiering in April 2011 and not one of you booger-eaters are watching it? What say you, mouthbreaters? C'mon let's hear your thoughts. I know there's only like six people still on this site but surely a couple of you have watched the fucking show. Jeez.

RBSG...the wife wanted us to do one workout a week together of my choosing. She does some Orange Theory a few times a week and some yoga. We do this on Thursdays and we've only missed about four of these since the first of the year. I don't fuck around...I make her bench, overhead press, squat, pull...

Re: Do you even lift, bro?

I read the article that Luke mentioned. I did a version of this last night with the viking/landmine press and the wife jumped in too. I didn't quite do it the way it was laid out but I steadily ramped up the weight and after my final heavy set went back to my original starting weight and went to fai...

I'm having fun with "Breakdowns" as explained by Josh Bryant who got them from Fred Hatfield.

- Work up to a heavy set of 4-6
- Reduce starting weight by 15-20% for 10-15 reps
- Cut starting weight by half and then aim for 20-30 reps.
Very interesting!

Mak, my horny brother, I normally avoid topics like this but you're catching me in a transitional moment so I'll tangle with you. Since I moved into my sixth decade (I'm 61) things aren't the same anymore...but they're close. From an overall fitness standpoint i.e. limit strength, muscular endurance...

Wait just one fuckin' second! The Turdish one has the solution and it's right there and I didn't see it. Of course it's all about the books. Simply wrap the dogs in a sort of "doggie-vest" made of your books. Not even supersonic, armor-piercing ammunition can penetrate this overwrought, sleep-induci...

For once Troy is saying something that's not irritating me. We need to talk through this Tim. Just off the cuff the reasonably smart thing to do would be to immediately call the sheriff and tell him exactly what happened. Perhaps insist if he doesn't indicate he'll do it, that the sheriff contact sa...
