About as IGx as you can get. Only him owning a @fit box would make it crazier.

Re: Consistency over intensity

If you think you can go all out all the time you are a.Not 30 yet, b.Gifted, and/or c.about to experience your first of many setbacks. What gets you to the next level is not the willingness to go hard but the regular practice of doing it. Over and over and over. Then to be a dominant force in your s...

Re: Consistency over intensity

Not buying the DJ story. But have been using RPE/baseline sets to regulate my training. The difference is when I was competing each week I knew I needed to go up in intensity and at least try to keep the volume at or close to my baseline. Now I gauge it by medium heavy warmups and the last week’s re...

Re: What to make of the election?

Your only hope right now. Not a Dem out there he does not wipe the stage with in debates and crush in the election. Ukraine was a very bad move. I warned several lefty friends that in the end I would be saying, but you wanted this. Ukraine was the wrong road to go down.

Re: Squat Assistance Exercises

I never found anything that helped my squat besides variations of the squat, until I found belt squats as BD mentioned. Box squatting, pause squatting, and squatting belt less very deep helped my single ply IPF meet squat. I did some Bulgarians barefoot to work on pro-Rio period after injuries but t...

Re: 2019 Goals

Continue to rage against the dying of the light. I have numbers to hit by 60. I am not going to hit them yet but I am going to continue to get closer. I am stronger and leaner than this time last year. Just not as lean as before the holidays. Last year on New Year’s Day I fell down some steps carry...

Re: Deadlift help

Two things. 1. Push hands down on the bar and flex triceps. Point is to keep arms straight. Bending elbows lengthens pulls and gets whole lat/shoulder girdle out of position. For the reasons syaigh says. 2. Do not let bar sit on ridge of hand calluses. It needs to sit on the finger calluses. The bar...

You will not regret downsizing. From my rare salad days @235, I have been down to as low as 208. 215ish now approaching 60. Have greatly expanded my cardio last few years and <200 is the eventual target. But here is the best part. My cardio, mainly incline treadmill and rucking, gave me the wake up...

Big green Egg, the right spice mix, and hawking the temperature as we slow cook has been a great addition to what we eat. Got the good knives. Got a few temperature gauges. Just ordered a meat grinder to get a better mix ground beef wise. Grow a lot of my own salad stuff. And am not afraid to try th...
