Re: The Secret History of Flamin' Hot Cheetos

Great read.

Thanks you for sharing.

Reading it makes me realize that I need to refocus myself on excellence. Try to be the best at what I am doing. Try to do what I am doing as well as possible. Hard work and focused effort creates opportunities.

Re: Only endurance exercise slows down ageing

To me, there is a relatively optimal middle ground of lifting moderate weights and running middle distances that is probably best for most guys who aren't preparing for some specific event. I look and feel better when I do both, and I don't see why most other folks wouldn't have the same results. Y...

Re: TheHappyBody.com

I think the happy body people are right that strength is important and training to maintain and build muscle is vital to aging well. I think they are right that stretching/flexibility/mobility is important. A good yoga program, or tai chi, or jumpstretch bands, or whatever is also vital to aging wel...

Re: Kettlebells for Running

I think that when you are looking at kettlebells and running there are two ways to look at it. The first is using KBs as a direct replacement for runs. Replacing miles with KBs to save the legs/knees from impact. I don't know his name and cannot find the site or postings anymore, but there was a guy...

Re: Don't Call it a Comeback 2.0

I should go back to the book at some point. It's really good. Mick, it is by far my all time favorite yoga program. I think it is the perfect balance of yoga for western body types. It avoids all of his later isometrics bullshit (which I can appreciate it for what it is, but it is not my thing.) An...

Re: Cluster set training

Ladders probably fit into this theme as well. Keeping volume high with lower reps per set. The PTTP Bear protocol... it also fits in with PL54's thoughts that 10 sets of 3 is better than 3 sets of 10.

Re: Cluster set training

Hmmmmmmm.......there have been variations of this for a long time. If i recall leo costa jr based his Titan Training on this. It is also reminiscent of Dogg Crap training. And to some extant things like Bryce Lane's 50 in 20....I recall one guy writing about doing pushups this way. 3 reps then breat...

Re: Strong Endurance

Is there a reason a person would do this versus just doing 1 arm long cycle and switching on the minute? I am having trouble placing this in context. Or is it just a matter of personal preference? Whenver I am looking to replace jogging or running with KBs, my go it is always 1 arm long cycle and sw...

Re: Right now I'm drinking

Don't fuck with my buzz. What is your vodka drinking style? Do you do small shots and then nibbles? Pour over ice and sip? I used to be a pour over ice and sip kind of human, but then I read that in Russia vodka is for shots then you eat some snacks and do more shots. But I have no idea if that is ...

Re: Strong Endurance

What is the take away with all this? Is the Strongfirst Strong Endurace AA protocol useful for general population and purposes? Why would would someone do it? When would they do it? At what level? I find that 10 sets of 10 on the minute worked very well for me at one point. It is what I am building ...
