Simple kettlebell programs

This is a lazy and dumbass question but...I'm trying to plan out the next 6-9 months of training and I'd like to do at least several months of kettlebell-only work. I've read several books on such things and they all seem to be swing-only things or programs that include halo chops and 5 row varietie...

Re: Steve Maxwell Advices

For me and me alone, I don't really agree with the tone of the article. As nothing but a generalist who wants to be able to do most things that pass thru an addled mind, I don't really care that gains (of whatever kind) plateau after 4-5 since it's unlikely my goals are the same at that point. I'm n...

Re: Training for Health

Deadlifts, farmer's walks, and rucking. I've done that for several weeks at a time when I'm focused and, as at 53, I just feel good, strong, and stay 'lean'.

Re: WTB Copy of Kettlebell Muscle (or Kettlebell Strong)

I thought Return of the Kettlebell was pretty solid for a double KB program. Didn't really like the 'press with different size KB' idea since I have two 24s, but I got around that.

Richrath was the reason I started playing guitar. Totally underrated as a player and songwriter. The solo in Golden Country is amazing.

Re: How do you train?

For about the last year and a half, it's:

2 days barbell: Alt DL/Sq, MP, weighted PU. 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps
2 days KB/BW/cables: 20-30 min circuits
1 day random: Sandbag, logs, hill sprints, BMF rock flips

So speaking of horses, say you had an Uncle Jack. If he was stuck up on the horse, would you help your Uncle Jack off?

I just bought a 10" Samsung Galaxy Tab. Only had it a couple weeks, but it's sweet so far and had a very good camera. I'm an Android fanatic, so YMMV.

I listen to Scott Joplin and other pre-depression piano stuff. And Benny Goodman. But I grew up with this kinda stuff in the house, so it's relaxing, thought-free music.

I listened to like 3 or 4 of his podcasts. He's a tool. If I had a dollar for every time he said 'hack'. And he claims to have had Lyme disease, which is a current red flag for me.

I'm a student at a small midwestern college. One night on the way back from the library something happened that I never thought would happen to me. I had to share it with the forum. My guts gurgled with undercooked Mexican food. Trying to squelch the discomfort with Drambuie was a mistake in hindsig...

How in the world do you know this? If it's true, how do you know how much it matters? JMO, but Pareto and I say most lifters (and people in general) worry too much about details. Do the whole lifts.

This could probably be merged with your FMS/et al post on the training forum. I was listening to a podcast today talking about FMS, and the guy said something to the effect of "An important part of being successful with FMS is that you must have belief that it's going to work." And it wasn't just "B...
