KINGHORSE

A friend of mine recently reminded me of this album and it's been back in heavy rotation.

It's a killer from beginning to end.

Early 90s heavy Metal!

Re: The big issue with gymnastics training

As per non gymnast, but world class athlete.. Garry Tonon doing a bridge to deal with BJJ jizz. There has to be a better term than BJJ jizz. I've literally never heard anyone call it that and it brings to mind guys in pajamas doing bukkake wrestling. Yes. Dumbest slang term I've ever heard Agreed. ...

The meathead jerkoffs I work with call my training "keigles and krunches", which is always good for a laugh at my expense!

Re: The big issue with gymnastics training

I've been doing F1 for about a year, twice a week coupled with as much grappling as I can fit in (mostly 3-4/week at 1.5-2 hours per session). I like how it's laid out in the way Baff described, in that there is a strength and mobility component that must be met to move on. I have a tendency to thin...

Re: Wrestling vs BJJ

MikeB, have you ever sparred with anyone who regularly trains BJJ? I'm not talking about a friend who trained for six months then quit. I'm referring someone who regularly trains and competes at say a purple, brown, or black belt level? Kaz hit the nail on the head. It comes down to the man, not th...

Re: Skating again

I picked up a Joel Tudor Sector 9 board a few years ago, I commute on it every once in a while or go try and carve hills when the surfs flat. ? I can't even start to describe how stupid longboards are for anyone who isn't a female Asian college student. Edit: I understand this board is mostly dedic...

Re: Skating again

Good for you man! Being a skater was my entire identity for a lot of years. I had a career ending injury (shattered heel) in 2001. After the ankle fusion to fix the resulting arthritis, I no longer have lateral flexion (if that's what you call it, the way your ankle bends when you Ollie) of my lead ...

Re: "Cleaning out" an injured / achy knee-Question for injured or knee anatomy geeks

I am 38 now, so I'd say I was 32 or 33 when I had symptoms/surgery. I had symptoms very similar to what you describe. It would catch on any movement that bent my knee much past 90 degrees and there would be a painful pop when I straightened it back out. The first time it "caught" was on a warm up se...

Re: "Cleaning out" an injured / achy knee-Question for injured or knee anatomy geeks

I had 75% of my right medial meniscus removed about 5 years ago. Very short recovery time and no problems since (knock on wood).

Edit: in fact, I had to pull up my right pant leg to verify the small scar was on my right leg versus the left. I never even consider it anymore.

I get douche-chills from him as well. Dude might "write good programs" or whatever, but I honestly couldn't give fuckall about that shit.
