Re: American Muscle

I watched the first one and wondered if anyone else here was checking it out.

It was probably one of the worst shows I have ever watched. But then, I will probably check out one or 2 more, if they make it that long.

Kuma's Corner for incredible burgers.

Grand Lux Cafe on Ontario for really great eats.

Shedd Aquarium and the Planetarium are a lot of fun.

Stop by my friends Gracie Barra the Loop on Michigan and get a free intro class.

Lots to do and have a really good time.

Your favorite podcasts

I walk in the morning and have been listening to the radio function of my ipod. Been listening to some good talk shows and podcasts. What are your favorites? I always like training topics, but any topic will do.

Thanks!

Watched the first episode. Holy fuck these cats a hungry and they come ready for a fight. I gave up on the American TUF this season. Cruz and Faber couldn't keep my interest and the fighters are not what I want to see in the UFC after the season is over. But TUF Brazil is fucking LEGIT and I can't ...

This +1.

I also really enjoyed Kung Fu Hustle. Ip Man is a lot of fun too. But one of my favorites is Iron Monkey.

Re: Ask Presidential Candidate BatBoy a question.

Go to bed. That is all. waste of effort. I just got back from BJJ. Nervous system will be in overdrive for at least one hour longer. Does that happen to you too? I can't sleep for hours after jiujitsu. Being a third shifter, it is fairly convenient for me, however, I am also pretty wound after class.

Re: The Fighter's Mind by Sam Sheridan

You had PE in college? Granted I graduated in '91- yes. It was part of general ed. requirements, so I waited until my final semester senior year to do it and Dr. Horton made it awesome. That summer he ran the Appalachian trail for a speed record (53 days I think, it was later beaten). He was runnin...

The Fighter's Mind by Sam Sheridan

Sheridan's sequel to Fighter's Heart and damned if it isn't awesome. The chapter's on Dan Gable and Marcelo Garcia are alone worth the price of the book. As equally good are the chapters on Randy Couture, David Horton (My PE teacher in college) and Josh Waitzkin. I finished it in 2 days and it is a ...
