Re: One and Only Plug for my new Ebook

As per Hagbard's comments, the art director tried some newness with the layout. Lots of historical stuff that relates to the points I'm trying to make. Thanks for the observations.

Yes, thanks and that limited audience is loyal. Next book will be broader based on things that have helped back issues in myself and clients with references to popular "styles" of fixing it.

Re: One and Only Plug for my new Ebook

Can you list the chapter titles here? It's what a kid in a Thai slum would do to fight his way out of that neighborhood. If you are looking for a deadlift template or a Crossfit chipper, you won't find it in the book. There are many great sources including free ones here. The table of contents is p...

Re: One and Only Plug for my new Ebook

Yeah. The one Amazon book [Bamboo Gods] has decent content, but it's a clunky process and the Kindle never looked right. You can get that soft or Kindle. However there is a publish on demand /fulfillment company that I am considering,. Vervante or something like that. I did that FAQ on Armor of War ...

Re: Any alternative to buying ab "pavelizer"?

Ab Mat. Attach bands instead of using a barbell plate for full range crunch. Possibly anchor the feet around a dumbbell so you don't slide. When you get stronger, increase the strength of the bands.

Re: Interesting Conversation with my Cardiologist

It’s interesting to note that the fish oil plus olive oil group had better results than either the fish oil or olive oil group alone.

Nice point and good article. Thanks BD.

Well, I can't agree with the jury is out on Fish Oil. Here are a lot of resources for data. Mae Mollica - http://www.brinkzone.com/articles/fish-oil-for-muscle-growth/ Martin Berkhan - http://www.leangains.com/2011/05/omega-3-fatty-acids-for-muscle-growth.html Alan Aragon - http://alanaragon.com/fis...

A note. I reviewed, "Strong Medicine" with an advance copy from John Ducane. Nicely made book but I feel it is weakly supported by evidence. Just my take. YMMV.

Re: Interesting Conversation with my Cardiologist

LSD cardio. Like Cooper said, anything past 15 miles of running is for something other than fitness. Optimal bodyweight. Varied diet. Check ups. 3 grams of combined EPA/DHA. If you are NOT involved in getting hit in the head with a stick or fist,.. 1/4 baby aspirin. [Try that in your pill splitter] ...

Re: Adductors

One trick is to start any hip work with side and front planks from Dean Somerset's little trick of releasing those areas via firing the core. It works. Thomas Kurz with either hi rep, supine, adductor flyes or with iron boots comes to mind. I'd follow the adductor work with VERY strict Windmills. Ev...

Squatting on your toes is kind of a natural thing in athletics. It was a common exercise in the gym a while back too. Of course certain drills are not for everyone, but it's a valuable tool.

Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Magnesium are kind of like the standards. Only thing I take extra is Tart Cherry Capsules. Nice hint from Shaf and did the research. Seems to help with DOMS, etc.
