Re: really big strong guy--male model

Hey RBSG get some of those special underwears that Shaf has reviewed in the product forum and post some pics. Maybe we can set up a Bear-Off comp and we can vote for our favorites. How awesome would that be? Let's try to do this after you get back from your week of non-debauchery in Vegas. LOL!!!! ...

Re: Unexpected Vegas Beefcake version

Beer Jew, Sorry I couldn't meet up with you. The night you landed, my wife made me go to a Fall Out Boy concert. The next morning, we flew out. I trained at Average Broz four times in five days. It's a great weightlifting gym. At least 10 platforms with awesome bars, Eleiko and York plates. Pulling ...

LOL. Plus sized middle aged blocky model, if any thing.

Duluth sponsors the biggest event in my sport. But I have gotten a great deal of their products which are outstanding.

Re: Unexpected Vegas Beefcake version

RBSG, I'll PM you when I'm in Vegas. If we could get an IGX session together that would be awesome. I'm sure there's a shitload you can teach me. Sounds good. I'm sure we can learn a great deal off one another. This could get scary. A Jew lawyer and a lawyer married to a Jew discussing fitness. Sho...

Re: Unexpected Vegas Beefcake version

When are you there? I'm in Vegas with my wife from the 31st August. That filthy power gym looks awesome. From the 28th until September 1. We are staying Mandalay Bay. Filthy Power Gym is going to get a few visits. We fly out the morning of September 1. The irony of your handle is I call my wife the...

Re: Unexpected Vegas Beefcake version

The wife has an IT seminar she has to attend at the end of August and basically bribed me to go with her. The evenings are filled with her work political BS, so touring is not really an option. Where are some good places to lift in Sin City? I am hoping to hit Average Broz, but I believe John moved...

LOL. this is too funny. My wife is making me go to Vegas with her at the end of the month. I'm going to post this in the other forum as we won't have time to tour much because she will be in a seminar until 5 p.m. But I plan on hitting ever cool gym I can while I am there.

Re: Strength makes you a Lion

I feel that strength makes everything easier for sports - to a point. To excel at the apex of any given sport, one must concentrate on the skills required of the sport. There comes a point where strength hinders skill - and one must learn where that point is at, or recognize it, in order to continue...

I am 47. No longer a spring chicken. I still compete at a very high level in my sport. I believe I can continue to do that for another 10 to 15 years. My goal is 15. I have a lot of lifting heavy shit in my background. I mean a lot. I also started doing daily yoga, tai chi and SMR about 10 to 15 yea...

I have tried over 150 jury trials to verdict. I would not change a thing. The system isn't perfect...but I do not know of a better one. All it takes is one bad judge to foul up a verdict. I have tried 33 cases. I do civil defense work. And that's considered a lot of trials in 20 years among my coll...

I have ran the full gambit on the androgens perspective (but I am almost totally removed from that experience as it was over a decade ago; but boy was there some shenanigans at that time). Also take SSRIs for social anxiety. Don't drink. Don't smoke weed - eat too much already and not good to smoke ...

A sobering number of guys I know in the 45-55 age cohort have experience major muscle tears in the past year or two. They all have the following in common: 1) an advanced training age. They've spent 25+ years in the gym. 2) the introduction of TRT (or, more often TRT+) and the euphoria that comes a...

Re: Knee Wraps

Thanks both. I'll keep squatting in neoprene sleeves for the most part, and look into a pair of the rehband shorts. I'm curious as to whether they feel as they're supposed to. I had always imagined knee wraps feeling like a catapult at the bottom of a squat, but these feel more like casts. You won'...

Re: Knee Wraps

BD - I've been having a bit of quad tendonitis lately, and over the next year as my squat pushes up into the 450+ range, I thought it would be good for the long term protection of my knees (both of which I've torn in the past) to get, and learn how to use knee wraps. I also want to use them to hit ...

Re: Knee Wraps

I prefer Rehband knee sleeves. Loose fitting too. I try to avoid anything overly supportive - just for warmth and ailing the oldness of achy high mileage joints. Add some Rehband warm pants and it's magic manna for those of us with some years on the platform/power cage/squat rack. The wraps you boug...

Nothing specific on weights. If something happens, it happens. Want to continue to trim down while maintaining as much strength as I can. To that end, diet is going to be my focus along with increasing the mobility and doing actual cardio work other than my event training. The only real goal I have ...
