Happy New Year
Due to the geographical advantage I am past the line separating the bad and annoying 2020 from the bright and hopeful 2021. As I get to experience it first, I can testify that three hours on 2021 is mostly drinking strong liquor and moving erratically in an attempt to dance with the Russian and Ukra...

Ah, colored pictures and impressionable people. In terms of deaths per 1 million Sweden is on the 24th place in the world. After Belgium, UK, USA, France, Spain, Italy and Brazil. Without drastic lockdowns. How come the graph doesn't include those countries? Because it wouldn't tell the right story...

According to his own numbers, Taiwan needs a few million more to equal the population of Los Angeles. The comparison is dumb. Direct comparison of any health numbers is dumb, and it is very easy to select a country that did or didn't do whatever you need to support an argument. Belgium has the high...

At some time Steve Maxwell was living out of his bag. He was talking about it on Rogan podcast. Fretting that you can't have a blade in a cabin luggage, 'cos that was tge only bag he had at the time.

You lot do realise you’re going to be paying for the recounts. It's cheaper than another foreign war. A leading candidate for Secretary of Defense, Michele Flournoy, is already making interesting noises re: Syria & Iran in the Jerusalem Post . There is a vibe across the interview that makes me ...

I remember Aussies when I was hostelling in Canada years ago would drop it like no big deal. We figured out pretty quickly there was a difference of culture. We wouldn't have been offended anyway, but it was surprising to see this absolutely gorgeous girl drop it after a few pints. Think she was fr...

I must say, this election is entertaining. Last one was fun - Hilary being the sure thing and then Trump turning it around. But this one is the real TV drama.

Re: Okay nutritional gurus, fish oil is now bad?
Liquid is the easiest way to get the dose. When I was a kid, at kindergarten every morning they would line kids up and stick a good sized spoon of fish oil into everyone's mouth. One spoon for the whole crowd, of course. Tasted like crap, but that was the routine. I am guessing it was a non-standard...

Look at the doses they use: EPA and DHA of 3 - 4g. Pharmacy variety contains about 300 mg per capsule, so you ha...

My predictions about almost anything are usually wrong. My feeling is Trump is going to get it. Which means he is likely to lose. As the side note, I find the outrage with Trump fascinating. From the first day in office whatever he said or did was interpreted as bad by the majority of the media. I t...

You guys won't believe it, but people around me are very fired up about the election. Hatred of Trump permeates Australia for some reason, mysterious to me. My personal, very uneducated opinion of someone who watches news maybe once a week, and only because TV set is on in the staff room, is that Tr...
