Re: The couch thread

Cross training is just GPP. If that's all you want, knock yourself out. What percentage of people going to the Y or the big box gyms do you think fall into that category? Quite a few... I bet it's 95% or more. Just heading over to the gym to pump some iron and hop on the treadmill. Do the Nautilus ...

Pat O'Shea, author of Quantum Strength & Power Training. I'm familiar with the name. Clarence Bass has a few interviews with him on his site before he passed. I was curious how good his book was.

Quite a few, but they don't need to do crossfit to do it. Puking and getting injured doesn't appeal to many people. I think a lo...

That's why I wasn't sure if it was the right guy. I didn't see anyone else's name on Twight's site that I thought would fit.

I bet no one can even name a cross training program that's better than CrossFit. Fucking training dumbasses. Cross training is just GPP. If that's all you want, knock yourself out. But if you want to get good at something particular, crossfit sucks. The law of specificity rules. Like Kraj said, I'd...

2. Even the basic level could be tough for a beginner. I love Steve's material. As the foxy one said most people could do this routine forever and be fine. However, I think some more commentary on how to scale it down even further (150 reps anyone?) and frequency (1,2,3,4, or 5x per week) would be ...

Metallica- Death Magnetic

Got this last weekend and I have to say I really like it. Not quite like the old days, but pretty hard. A lot of the songs are over 7 minutes long. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

My favorite: Training question for Mike Maul-her. I found an interesting WTH-effect the other day while lifting kbells. The wife was asking me about getting breast implants while I was doing double ohead presses and I told her to just go get some toilet paper and rub it between her tits. She said sh...

Re: "30 Days of Night"

Cool. Now I definitely want to see this movie. Too bad my wife would never watch it. It's a tearjerker and gets all chick-flicky at the end. She'd love it. There is one horrifying scene that's pretty much your standard gang-rape, only with haemolagia substituted for the sex. Toying with this girl, ...

According to P&B's resident x-fit scholar, Shaf, that is a Halloween
costume photo of chicks being x-fits slutettes for Halloween.
I'd tax that ass like the government (chick in the middle)!
