Hobbies and such
While I know that fitness tends to be the common denominator here, I was curious if any of you assholes had any other hobbies besides working out and reminiscing about your golden days here? I know some of you fags are probably all into things like macramé, scrapbooking, and tea set collecting. Myse...

Re: Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
Will definitely check out leasing options. Don't know much about how it works so I gotta do some research.
Will prob check out some rides in the next month.

Re: Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
Definitely. The backseat has certainly gotten smaller with the car seat sitting back there. I have a 15-year-old BMW 3-series, and the back seat is so small that my daughter's car seat only fits in the middle. I think about replacing the car on the grounds that it doesn't have enough room. But then...

Re: Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
I will go with the likely, unpopular move of sign and drive lease. Hyundai and KIA are killing it and as long as you can deal with a 4 banger, you're in good shape, for cheap. Now to be clear, we own our Santa Fe (loaded and the last year of the V6) and will never 'buy' one of their smaller engine ...

For those of you who had a chance to compare the two did you feel the outback or the forester had more cargo room?

Re: Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
So you have a problem buying an American car from an American car company is what im hearing. Why not look at the new Buick that's made in China? Don't know if it's meant towards me, but not at all. I actually like the look of the Surbabans but for the same price the Subaru will have a decent bit l...

As many of you know we had a kid last year. Yeah, suddenly rear-set room makes a difference. Kids have short legs but car seats are yuge. Tahoe Suburban How many miles a year do you drive? I knew a guy who had a V-8 gigantic SUV for his commuter, and I thought he was nuts. Turns out his commute is ...

Re: Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
Bought a used 03 Forester with 140k myself last month and like it. They have towing capacity for a light trailer. Why not get a gas can on wheels as a commuter? You can usually get an old Escort (or something similar) for cheap off of Craigslist. I have thought about doing just that but don't reall...

Might be car shopping. Thoughts?
As many of you know we had a kid last year. I have been driving a 2004 crew cab Colorado with about 160K miles on it. It has had some issues in terms of electrical and some cylinder misfires but all in all its been a great truck but we are feeling the pinch in terms of size constraints when we do an...

Curious as to your thoughts on the options out there and whether it is worth it in this market? Etrade, Ameritrade, etc, etc.....all have different options. Looking at no minimums and hopefully low commissions. Got a few guys at my unit that swear that they make a but here and there, enough to warra...

Yeah...I was able to get a picture replaced, a bed, table, and couch repaired (the furniture repair guy was insanely good) but the rest of the stuff I didn't find until later. Unless you want pics of the quilts...I can take those if you don't believe me. If they are good, that sounds quite nice. Qu...

We are looking at moving from our current location in about a year and I'm already dreading it. Better earning potential and schools are great but I really hate moving. My 23andme test confirmed what I already knew from family history - my mom's side has fucked me with a history of heart disease and Alzheimer's. Dad's side live forever barring freak accident. Saturated fat is bad, alcohol is bad - but it seems that there's a trade-off between fat intake and the he...

Congrats. We are headed towards our seven month mark with no real issues. I feel like we really lucked up since my son pretty much only gets whiny if he's hungry or needs changing. The rest the time he is all smiles. Keep in mind that I am no expert but here are a few things that hit home with me. A...

I second Duolingo. I've used it to help build my French back up to an ok level. Conjugation is emphasized, which is nice since some programs for vocab kinda gloss over it.

Re: Mr. Money Moustache/Early Retirement
Maybe that's it. Trades here in the states fluctuate a lot in terms of pay. While you can make decent living, i.e. keep the bill collectors at bay or you are working a shit ton of hours. In many cases, my own being a decent example, working 60-70 hrs a week means I have some extra to put back but I'...
