Evil

In my pursuit of one day speaking fluent Spanish, I often read Spanish newspapers. Like El Mercurio, from Chile, where I came upon a story about Colonia Dignidad. It was kind of cult group established in Chile by a German Nazi in the early 60s. Last week the government of Germany announced it was se...

Re: I gots a querestion for Timmah...

In my 50 years in the publishing business, I've never seen a blatant theft in which one person used another's idea. Clearly, it happens as in the Art Buchwald/Eddie Murphy contretemps about "Coming to America." But mostly what I see is people who snatch a good line here and there. There ar...

Re: Black Night in June: Tiananmen Footage

My photographer friend, Chris Ranier, was in Tianamen Square that night. Of course, he was shooting. It was film on celluloid then. You know, rolls of film? Anyway, the shit was hitting the fan that night. The army knew where Chris was and he knew they knew. So he stashed his good shots under an aco...

Re: Word of the Day

Crepuscular, a form of dim light, twilight. If you live where I do, you are acutely aware that bears are crepuscular. They are most active at dusk and dawn. Therefore, I have chosen to use the word as a threat. "Imma get crepuscular on your ass."

As Fatty says, class.

Good stuff Gene. Of course, it won't work for my purposes. I'm trying to write the cheesiest thriller possible and your efforts are way too well written to even consider.

Re: Fat, fit and old as dirt

Don't do it Fatty. There are people who love you. I mean, there probably are some people who love you. A few anyway. OK, not a lot. Well, all right, maybe no one loves you but that's no reason to...

Ah, go ahead, pull the trigger.

THRILLER Zagreb, Croatia. A sudden explosion split the night. Fred didn’t look back. He and his sexually attractive girlfriend, Lilly, sped away in red 1969 Ford Mustang. Little did they know that the Pueblo Cartel had joined forces with the Russian Mob to wipe out Fred’s mother, Sally, who sheltere...

Johno and Turd,
Good points. I'll stay in my vehicle. But the deal is that I walk up there. That's the whole point. I might encounter him a couple of miles from my truck.

It's a big sloping grassland. You can see for Miles.

I can't operate a drone. As for airspace, a guy I met is a kite skier. Asked permission to fly over the bastard's ranch. Denied. But, as Nafod says, it's not his airspace to deny. I've gotten a lot of feedback in town from people who have had run-ins with this guy. His MO: sits in the cab of his tru...

Re: The wrong guy

Ok, this guy is big time rich. Married into it. Likes to hunt. From Connecticut. Bought the ranch 15 years sago. You can't drive up to his place with a 6 pack to discus matters because you have to pass a no trespassing video gate and drive a almost a mile. He has an armed minion on an ATV. He bought...

Re: The wrong guy

Ah,turns out that because it was on federal land, I can charge the guy with aggravated assault. I don't think it meets the definition (since he did not brandish a weapon). But, the very complaint means that that record is available to all law enforcement agencies.
