In doing USAW Level 1 courses for years, I've met many college Strength Coaches. Always their take on the bench test: it proves you aren't a pussy and cam work through pain. I didn't see Poe's first reps, but the last several he locked out completely.

Some quick research on Bryan Clay, 2008 Olympic Gold in decathlon, reveals that he's run 1500 meters in 4:38.93 (easily a sub 5:00 minute mile), and he cleans around 330 (335 maybe). I doubt he deadlifts often.

Clearly he's not Crossfit worthy.
