Re: Come out Come Out you Junkies
Kind of, I sustained a knee injury and could barely walk, then I got beaten up by a dick bouncer whom my stripper girlfriend was fucking on the side, and the combination of all that, plus booze, lead me to think I could shoot one of them as they left the club after closing time. There was some booz...

Re: Come out Come Out you Junkies
Good stuff. I read, maybe here, about how after Vietnam, a lot of guys coming back who had been doing opiods came home and didn't bring a habit with them. The change of context, or perhaps return to the pre-drug context, let them leave it behind. Not expecting you to answer this and I can reference...

Re: Come out Come Out you Junkies
Believe addiction is more of a bad habit you learn by constant practice and calling it a disease is an excuse. I honestly thought this way until a few months back. But humor me: if addiction as disease is true, then even if as much as 10% gets/has the affliction, then the other 90% should not suffe...

I love MAC but only if you do not have to interact with enterprise corporate America. Snore. Office for Mac. Welcome to 2016. It's not just that. Most official websites require Internet Explorer (they won't even work with Windows 10's Edge browser, that's why they kept IE 11) and there are way too ...

Re: learning a language
In Texas, we had friends from the Flemish side of Belgium. They were A players in European Schutzhund (essentially a dog sport which involved bite work). Everytime they came back, their English was exceptionally better. They said it was mostly from watching "Friends" on TV. I shit you not.

Re: learning a language
I don't feel/believe immersion is a high priority (with my kids, anyway). I do agree, for adults, the more you use, the better you get. Spanish in American streets is interesting in that the variations are multiple and a lot of classroom stuff borders on useless. Anyone who is conversational in Span...

I love MAC but only if you do not have to interact with enterprise corporate America. VmWare Fusion/Parallels Desktop/Virtual Box are your friends. Re: learning a language
My two cents: Great idea to learn Spanish on several levels. I grew-up in a largely Hispanic community, Colombians, Dominicans, PR's, and so on. Also being a cop in "Spanish Harlem" back in the day. Of course, we took Spanish in high school, but the real language you'll utilize in the US i...

I wasn't going to chime in because you've been hogging a great deal of bandwidth already. After this what's next? How to get your bitchin' '69 Firebird running again? Christ. I'm just playin'. BD hit it on the head. I get asked this every so often...it's not welcome and the rules in place already p...

Container Homes
Any of you guys builders? My wife and I have been a bit fascinated by container homes. Our home sits on 3/4 acre and we LOVE where we live, but our house is nothing special, was built in the 40s and devalued a ton since we bought it. We pretty much have laid to rest the idea of relo as we and the ki...

Re: Steak cooking technique...
OK, Shapebaby, your method appears to be solid, but high maintenance. That commie Miloz is correct in that letting one's steak out for an hour or so is sorta useless. 5-6 hours, OTOH, gets you to that state of BOOYHAHDIGGITY. Preseason or no matters not all that much unless youre going with cheaper ...

I won't even get into how many docs and specialists I've seen over the past few months, let alone why, although a few of you know. So, I had a procedure done earlier this week by a Urologist.....very reputable place. Young guy. All went well, Rx's slightly changed, and he did what he had to do WRT a...

Dog Training Questions Shall Be Answered
A small wave of dog questions via PM and FB IM. Sorry for the delay, I was hospitalized for six days with pneumonia and a couple of other complications. I got home two days ago and I'm gonna be fine, but I need to take care of other things before I get to the PM's and IM's I'm sure you understand......

.....do you still like your Infrared Sauna? I was at an outdoors show this past weekend and saw a few models that I would not mind having.
