I'm having a Certification - you can put letters after your name and everything upon completion - let's call it the Climber Cert! How much should I pay to learn the “secrets”? Answer – If you send me $5000 – and you have $5000 – I’ll take you personally to Nepal and we’ll go to the Tangboche Monesta...

Seeing as how I cam e late to the party - what is the issue here? If she "owns" it - she can sell it to whoever she wants - that's sort of what ownership implies. Unless there is some kind of agreement behind all this stuff - it seems a little off the wall.

There aren't very many good things about being poor - but one nice thing is it doesn't really matter who is in office - we're screwed either way. One less thing to worry about I guess.

I know its good to "lower" the climate control during off hours but how much should you lower things before it takes as much to reheat - recool before you haven't accomplished anything. I know it will vary but maybe one of you know enough about this stuff to give me a guesstimate of sorts?

I remember this guy. It was a big deal back when I was in Vietnam - lots of press. I've caught bits and pieces about him since - the guy was quite a story. Suicide by jaguar - a good one to convince terrorists to try perhaps??? :)

Who are you going with - what trekking company? Be sure whoever it is schedules in enough rest/acclimation days. Some of the Nepalese companies are famous for thinking the rest of us flat landers can do what they can do as to time frames - which usually isn't true.

Re: Walk to Everest base camp
I haven't done Everest base Camp but I have climbed Lobuje East (on the way to EBC) and Imse Tse (Island Peak). Which means I have been most of the way to Kala Patar - which is most of the way to EBC. Generally the walk each day is not that long. You will have to be in shape of course but you will n...

Some of the junk Glute Hams can be "rehabbed" with a new footplate and a MUCH better pad assembly. It takes a little work but not a ton of money to do it.
