Yea, not to belittle the hard work thing cos it's the part needed to develop talent, but I know several musicians and groups that work tirelessly but they still suck like a Hoover.

Like the deadlifting numbers, more elusive metrics:

Highland Kashmir IPA: Said to have an aggressive hop character. I had one last night and that character was nowhere to be found. Not a bad beer outright, but a fair IPA at best. My opinion of Highland drops a notch.

Many Scotch ales would fit what you're looking for, too. Sam Adam's version is available in most decently stocked places and is pretty tasty this time o' year.

Re: The couch thread

Couch's whole quote needs to be repeated to appreciate the humorous: But here's the fascinating part. We can take you from a 200 pound max deadlift to a 500-750 pound max deadlift in two years while only pulling max singles four or five times a year. We will though work the deadlift, like most lifts...

Re: Beer!!!

Budweiser-American Ale-I'll try any beer once; and once was enough with this beer. Way to mellow for my taste, not as bad as the mainstream trash they brew, but I wasn't impressed. I still have 5 more bottles left (I never give away beer) so maybe I'll change my mind. Sometimes you need to try a be...
