Re: Is IGx dying?
Taking a quick peak, there are 34 workout logs updated in the last month or so. Add a month for lazy slackers and the number is bigger. That's the real core of IGx. Not everyone keeps those alive, either. When folks change their login names, I don't know who fuck I'm yelling at or with. Bingo. And ...

Re: Is IGx dying?
I don't know. Over the years we have covered a very broad area of topics in terms of training. Stuff slows down and then will pick back up for spell. A lot of our more colorful members have left. Couple that with some of us just being plain busy, it all equals a slow down.

Re: Selling land
I've had some similar experience with inherited property. Note that I think the majority of my relatives should be in jail, so take this with a grain of salt. Every day your brother stays on there, his sense of ownership and entitlement increases. If you decide to hold and let it appreciate, do you...

Selling land
Got a topic I would like some input on from you folks. My parents are both dead and left my brother and I 46 acres of fairly wooded property. About 2 years prior to my mom's death, my brother decided to move to the land and put his caravan out there and eventually a double-wide trailer up on it. Sin...

This, though I recommend Epsom salt as opposed to Clorox. Grew up in the woods of Alabama/Georgia and I've used this method since I was a kid. Works wonders.Terry B wrote:You've gotta scrub it until it bleeds then use the clorox.

Re: Wondering about your experiences with Obama care (ACA)
But in December I cut my hand at work, needed an x Ray and stitches, and was told to return to the ER 10 days later to have the stitches removed. When I went back, there were 6-8 other people waiting with me, and every single one appeared to be using the ER for primary care. Not a new story at all ...

Re: Wondering about your experiences with Obama care (ACA)
Why the fuck is an ambulance ride $1500? I promise you, us on the trucks don't see it. You have to figure that we only get paid maybe 30-40% of the time, from what I recall. A number of the ghetto fabulous don't even both opening the bills. When Uncle Sam is paying for everything, you can afford to...

Re: Q for the parents here, Louis CK on fatherhood
Thanks for the kudos and well wishes. This is why I haven't asked for any pointers or advice. I figure that I will wing it, since the going consensus is that you will be woefully underprepared no matter what you do. All I can say is that I will do my best to be the kind of father my dad was, hard wh...

Re: Whatever happend to CS gas and Watercannons?
Good posts so far. As I work hand in hand with cops a good deal, I would like to chime in something. My own experience has been similar to Bogatyr's in that black cops tend to react very similarly to white cops. Typically if you present a threat of any kind, ie resisting arrest, you will get roughed...

Re: Latest unarmed black man shot by cop, video this time
Well at least this time and with the recent beating of a college student by Virginia’s Booze Patrol, we have actual cases of cops being scumbags instead of causing riots over thug shit bags who deserved every bullet they got. It's not hard to find cases of cops acting badly, no need to gin it up wi...

Thanks all! Oh, and pregnancy mood swings/changes are a big deal. And very real. Hopefully she will remain mostly sane. But if she doesn't, well, it can't be helped and she will come around once the birthing/nursing is all over. We do become a mommy/baby hybrid and that includes crabbiness, irration...

I'm going to be a father
The title says it all. She is currently eight weeks along and we won't know the gender for another 7 to 8 weeks. To say that I am excited and happy is a complete understatement. Surprisingly, I'm not the least bit nervous.

So I'll back off the detox claims, and just say that the Finns think saunas are good for you, and a new study supports that. My grandad on my mom's side, hardcore Finno-drunk, firmly believed in the old fashioned saunas. Despite all the crap his body had been through as Army SF and a lifetime of ch...

Stars Benedict Bandersnatch as Alan Turing. Film details Turing's escapades as in WW2 Britain as a cryptographer in charge of cracking the Nazi Enigma code. It has Kiera Knightly, but unfortunately she stays clothed. Acting is pretty damn superb. Bandersnatch is definitely up to the task of some ser...
