One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Now 4 wrestlers are saying Jordan knew, all purported victims of some “grab’em by the junk”. Trump came out and basically called the victims liars.

I don’t believe them at all. I believe him. Jim Jordan is one of the most outstanding people I’ve met since I’ve been in Washington,” Trump said to reporters during a brief gaggle aboard Air Force One on Thursday. “I believe him 100 percent. No question in my mind. I believe Jim Jordan 100 percent. He’s an outstanding man.”

The alumni members of the Penn State board recently had a meeting (unattended by the rest of the board) to keep arguing about how the university got treated poorly in the whole Sandusky thing since it was everyone else’s fault.

The Jim Jordan bit is controversial, the doctor being a complete creep is not. But he's dead, fortunately for him.

MSU to Penn State: "hold my beer'
Yeah, watching that from the cheap seats.... These things don't end well
Michigan State received a letter from the NCAA this week that cleared it of any potential violations in the wake of Larry Nassar's abuse and allegations of sexual assault against the school's basketball and football programs, according to the university.

It saddens me that you were completely wrong on this. Fuck the fucking NCAA.

THE Ohio State University decided to join the party.
An attorney preparing a lawsuit against Ohio State University on behalf of more than 50 former athletes who allege they were sexually abused by a team physician told The Associated Press on Saturday that most of his clients were football players from the Buckeyes' storied program, including some who went on to play in the NFL.

Dayton attorney Michael Wright said the abuse happened during required physical examinations at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and during treatment for injuries and ailments at Dr. Richard Strauss' off-campus clinic and at his home, where he insisted they be seen.

Strauss killed himself in 2005, nearly a decade after he was allowed to retire with honors.

A 232-page investigative report released Friday found that Strauss had sexually abused at least 177 male students, but the report made only one specific reference to football players while listing how many athletes from each team were abused. That list says three football players were interviewed.

Wright said he was not aware that any of his clients were interviewed by investigators from the Seattle-based Perkins Coie law firm.

An Ohio State spokesman declined to comment.

Investigators found that Strauss' abuse went on from 1979-1997 and took place at various locations across campus, including examining rooms, locker rooms, showers and saunas. Strauss contrived, among other things, to get young men to strip naked, and he groped them sexually.

The report concluded that scores of Ohio State personnel knew of complaints and concerns about Strauss' conduct as early as 1979 but failed for years to investigate or take meaningful action.

Did anyone watch the doc on Nasser? Michigan State comes out looking horrible.

SEC has to be getting jealous of all the hot action in the Big 10.

Sandusky is in some rural PA prison. He's in a sixty year sentence. He'll die in prison.

Exactly how much shit does PSU, the Institution, have to eat? Do they have to wear ashes and sackcloth for a generation?

If it wasn’t for the members of the board who keep dragging it back up while trying to exonerate Paterno, no one would even be talking about it.

But there were deep changes in internal PSU policy, that will echo for decades. Bummer.

Like most of the major conferences, the Big 10 is pretty top heavy (the top 25% or so of teams tend to dominate across the major sports)-- now three of the four top schools (PSU, Sparty, and THE Ohio State University) have significant sexual assault scandals that extend beyond individual sports programs and coaches. Lucky for them teh NCAA doesn't really give a shit. I'm betting the NCAA cares less than they did about Terrelle Pryor's tattoo.
