ROMWOD

Post by kreator » Sat Nov 19, 2016 3:58 pm

Does anyone do this? I started recently a couple weeks ago. It's heavy on the Crossfit asthetic but other than that has nothing in common with it.
Basically holding yoga poses for a few minutes that take around 20 minutes total. Some of them really suck for me like the ones where you sit on your feet for 4 minutes.

I've got a few nagging things like sciatica from a think a bulging disc earlier this year, quad tendon inflammation, plus some external shoulder impingement. I'm hoping doing this ramrod stuff will fix it. The sciatica has been gradually going away over the last few months and I realized last week that I never feel it anymore unless I sleep in a funny position.

I've been reading some detractors saying that the Romwod stretches are just too much and emphasize hypermobility. I don't really know enough to judge that. What do the local goroos say?

I will say that if I ever meet the narrator guy I'll have to punch him in the face.

Here are a handful of books. The Stretch to Win by Fredericks would be the first book I'd get, followed by the Kurz book. Pavel's is simple and to the point, but you can probably find that in the mega, or I can put it up. The Anderson book is easily found online...I like the Fredericks' systemic approach though.

My issue with ROMWOD is that it's mostly yoga shit and that it can be hard for the inflexible to follow.

I think I have a bunch of ROMWOD downloaded, but I would need to find a place to put them up besides the mega or open a new mega because of the size.

They're all in Mega except for the first one. Just have to look. 2 are in video and pdf form.
