Thanks. Again a myriad of sources to funnel into some sort of order with this one.

First a congrats on producing more content to battle back the non content currently thriving in the marketplace.

And an Oblique question.....

Did you try cracking the publication nut of doing both an ebook and an on demand print book? So tired of books that aren't books...esp. when the content is soemthign i intend to study, refer to work with a lot.

Yeah. The one Amazon book
[Bamboo Gods] has decent content, but it's a clunky process and the Kindle never looked right. You can get that soft or Kindle. However there is a publish on demand /fulfillment company that I am considering,. Vervante or something like that.

I did that FAQ on Armor of War and the cover was a photo by Tim Mercer of the printed and notebook version of my ebook. So, yeah, I'll look into it for sure. Thanks for the congrats.

It's what a kid in a Thai slum would do to fight his way out of that neighborhood. If you are looking for a deadlift template or a Crossfit chipper, you won't find it in the book. There are many great sources including free ones here.
The table of contents is pdf so I can't cut and paste.

Apparently I'm too dumb to even understand your response... I'm going to probably buy it regardless but Jesus...

Good content. A bit of a limited audience. I'm at the point where I support the folks I know, and it's worth $12. Would have paid $20

Yes, thanks and that limited audience is loyal. Next book will be broader based on things that have helped back issues in myself and clients with references to popular "styles" of fixing it.

I like it. The format is cool; I turn my ipad sideways to read it. The static/stance work and hinge work are interesting and not found in too many places, although the stance work is a basic in most shaolin based styles of kung fu (in northern shaolin we used to begin each class with the horse form, which is a linked form of holding different stances). The more interesting part is Tom tells you a few ways to incorporate it into the overall plan. The elucidation on the Isaac Hayes template in terms of varying the different parts was also nice, including seasonal variations.

I would have paid $20 for it; Tom is on my short list of authors/friends who I will pretty much always buy from.

On the book publishing side; I used CreateSpace to publish my first book and it was fine. The book has a lot of color charts (it's a stats/investments book) so I opted not to do a Kindle version. The pricing seemed reasonable, although I only looked at 2 or 3 options. My cost is ~$5 a copy for a soft-bound, full color book of about 50 pages that looks pretty decent and the print-on-demand is very fast, as I've sent a few copies directly from Amazon and they have arrived very quickly. I am working very slowly on a new project and may only publish it in Kindle/ebook format. To Blaidd's point I do wish more people would publish in spiral bound format. When I work through a big stats or programming book where it is useful to have it open at the computer it would be nice if it would open and stay flat.

As per Hagbard's comments, the art director tried some newness with the layout. Lots of historical stuff that relates to the points I'm trying to make. Thanks for the observations.

I'll buy it. I missed the last one but Armor of War is still worth more than what I paid.

The 'limited audience' isn't a crack on the book, the audience really is those with limited resources to train, albeit time, facilities, equipment.

Ordered. I'll be looking through it on the subway this afternoon. I'm not sure of my direction the next few months so this may be just what I need.
