Youtube channels you like

Post by Alfred_E._Neuman » Thu Jun 08, 2017 10:33 pm

What are some youtube channels on training that you watch?
I like Juggernaut for serious discussion on barbell lifting. Chad Smith and his crew are putting out solid stuff and giving some good insight into how they're training their lifters.
For a good channel on my level of fucking around with weights, I like Alan Thrall's stuff. He's part of that whole group that includes Meg Squats, Silent Mike, Supertraining, etc. But I like his vids better than most of those others.
For calisthenics, I like the Calisthenics Movement guys. A bunch of Germans that break down BW training better than anyone I've seen. As much as I like the Kavadlo brothers, the CaliMove guys have them beat.

I still like listening to the Ask Rip for his humorous opinions about weird shit, but most of the lifting and nutrition advice he gives is just answers to idiots who are too stupid to comprehend the info in the book.
I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

I like her approach, Bill. Although I can't understand what she is saying I am going to plan on following along to some of her videos.

Squat University is gold. Mostly stuff on good mechanics but not as douchey as Kelly Starett. It's on instagram though.

Beyond the obvious reasons to like watching Marisa Inda squat, there's the added benefit that she's a world record holder and her form would probably send Mark Rippetoe into a coronary.

For lifting I like Alan Thrall, though I usually cross-check with Rippetoe. Then if they disagree, fill in with whatever shows up at the top of the search, though I usually side with Thrall.

For Judo, I like Mercuryu for the classical view:

Matt D'Aquino for the more practical view (he's got two channels):

And the chicks at flashmavi also do nice, crisp demo's:
