S + S is fine as a finisher to a workout. I wouldn't do it exclusively. Got up to 40kg without every practicing it. Meh....

I'm more into MetCon with doubles, doing chains or complexes.

Do you do other types of physical activities or sports, or are these your primary workouts? For me, I've always struggled with finding the right level of investment where the workout helped, rather than hindered, my main thing BJJ.

I play basketball once or twice a week as well. Kettlebells are my main thing.

Mountain biking is my main thing now. I just do my other training to stay in shape for that and to stay young and mobile.

Thanks Man, I was away from it for awhile, and was pleasantly surprised Fat Cat started posting again, and I love reading about the kettlebell stuff from the OG's

I'll start posting my workouts in here.

Funny. I leave for a few years and come back on a whim to discover (rediscover?) handleballs are still relevant. I find that with age, my joints are less receptive to those lifts I used to love (squats, deads, presses), but the handleball swinging and such gives me what I need to stay in the game.

Plus, all the 24hr Fitness gyms are now stocked with actual DD handleballs. Plus plus good.

It's got a weighted shrimp, sit up, butt scoot, technical standup, lunge, posting, etc. It's almost a class on basic jiu-jitsu movements in a single exercise.
FC, what part of the TGU is the weighted shrimp? I guess it's got to be as you sit up from the KB-extended over your chest position, to the propped on one arm position. But I'm having trouble seeing the shrimping element of that motion.

Maybe it's time for your dedicated thread on the TGU for grapplers.

Wow. IG is, like, back. Like Elvis in '68.
