Also, from a GJJ perspective the interview here with Gahie was really cool. She seems like an amazing athlete.

They asked her what her tokui-waza is and she was talking about how she loves Tani-Otoshi. She talked about how she chains it with a feinted turn in like for O-Goshi or Harai-Goshi and then when they slam on the breaks she takes them backwards with the Tani-Otoshi.

In GJJ the three most basic throws are O-Goshi, Ko-Soto-Gake, and Tani Otoshi. I've seen the O-Goshi and the Ko-Soto-Gake chained nicely but the way she chains O-Goshi and Tani-Otoshi was sweet as can be. I'm gonna play with that this weekend.

What's GJJ?

GJJ = Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

When I say GJJ, as differentiated from BJJ, I am talking about the specific methods of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as taught by the Gracie family and in particular my master Relson Gracie.

Interesting to listen to Neal Adams' commentary. Last weekend I attended a 2-day seminar he did in Northern Virginia, just outside the DC beltway. Spending a few hours in a room listening to him, makes his voice super familiar.

He's got a great voice for narration and all the experience in the world to back it up. I f'n WISH the IBJJF was one tenth as professional and effective at promoting our sport.
