Manitou incline

Post by nafod » Mon Nov 25, 2019 5:44 am

Finally got a chance to hike it. It is 2000' of vertical in 0.88 miles, with a start elevation of about 6500 ft. It took me 1 hour and 4 minutes going up, with no flat portions. Minimal rests, just metered the pace to keep me at my Max and not blow up. The rucking work done previously definitely helped. Took some other guy 30 minutes, he said his best time was 23 minutes.

It was neat coming down (I backtracked down the incline because the neighboring trail had snow on it) and looking at people going up. Everyone was at their limit and in their own headspace, just at different speeds.

Cool YouTube video about it.
