Doug Hepburn: Anatomy of Strength

Post by Fat Cat » Wed Aug 19, 2020 12:36 am

Anatomy of Strength is one of two videos released by Doug Hepburn in the 90s. In this video he breaks multiple records in the over 70 age class and discusses training.

According to the description (I haven't watched it yet), he hits a 187 lbs. press out the rack at 70+ years of age.

Might, Muscles, and Miracles is the second of two videos released by Doug Hepburn shortly before he died. It is no longer for sale or distribution. It was uploaded to preserve it and hopefully pass on his knowledge.

Hits it with ease too. And does a 100 lb 1 arm db press as well.

Apparently he didn't train any of these lifts. Didn't warm up either. Says it was his "natural" strength.

Haven't gotten far enough to see if he was still doing any training at this point or just naturally strong from his years of lifting.

That dude is absurd.

A 1-arm db bench of 100lbs almost kills me.
