Browsing through Rudnev's youtube channel. He manages to come up with incredibly sinister kettlebell exercises. Here is one. The title: substitute for a burpee, variations of Spider with Kettlebell. In the video he says this exercise came from fighting arts and is a variation of the spider kick.

Just came across this footage, training of Soviet soldiers. The uniform tells me these are paratroopers, above the ordinary soldier. Some shit is pretty twisted.

Transfer: crossfitter vs. powerlifter vs. girevik. Girevik was better at Crossfit than a crossfitter. I am guessing because serious circuits are part of training for GS.

No. I think he wants to keep it commercial. Hell with it, it's not a rocket science. It's strength and endurance. GS gives you strength endurance, which is probably not that different from what is required for grappling: moderate amount of strength maintained for some time. I don't think a few timed sets on top of some ES style lifting couple of times a week are going to ruin anything.

I remember i posted about Khabarovsk kyokushinkay team, their GPP coach is N.Balagov, who is GS world champ and Rudnev's student.
Here short video there some GPP training. It is advertisement of Roman Semchenko's school, and he trained GPP under Balagov when prepared to tournaments.

Crossfiter also is MS in pancration, CMS in Army's combat fight, champion of Russia in pancration (2006).
And girevik just MS in GS. Thats why they coaching GPP :)

2x GS sets a week along with a mix of calisthenics or basic barbell stuff will set you up for success in lost areas.
