I think we can all agree that wrestlers, being supreme athletes, would show us how to use kettlebells the right way, gentlemen.

By the way, kettlebells accompanied all my childhood and youth. Every gym at every school had them, they were always in the corner somewhere in every place that had some sort of training. Usually 32, I saw 24 and 16 kg only in the early 80-s. Main exercises were not GS related - GS was formally set up in the late eighties (I think). Every fair would have a KB pressing competition.

So I guess one can argue for hardstyle as being more natural for kettlebell lifting. I still believe in what I said in regards to GS lifts being used by hardstylers.

What were the main exercises?

I will be honest, I didn't do much of it myself. The main one - one arm press. Also, one arm cleans, one-sided squat (KB in one arm), juggling, two bell press. Not much that I can remember. My wife was a serious runner in her teens (800 m and 400m with hurdles), and she tells me they did deep jumps from parallel benches while holding KB.

But I must confess, I have never seen a snatch before 2000s. :-"
