I didn't notice your log was missing. Are you pissed? Do you have it backed up somewhere?

Yeah I noticed it last night.
No I'm not pissed, I know these things sometimes happen.
The only back up I have is the journal I keep with pad and pen...lol.

6:30am 65 degrees, clear.

Douse 5 gals. x 3
Power breathing x 3
SJ
Dynamic stretching

Weezer/Geezer H.L.

Warm up laps with lunges front and back. Did some twists and deep breaths.

First part was basic mobility work around the pylons and then went into 2 man stuff.
Passing drills, nothing fancy we kept that a simple one as well.
Finished off with a scrimmage.

Due to the low numbers of player's showing up the last 3 weeks or so we've had to keep it pretty simple. The skating is great though since we have so much open ice. The quality of ice was good today and the building was on the quiet side, meaning no lil figure skater's running amok and the Parents yapping at them or each other every 3 seconds.

On ice time 90 minutes.
Off ice AndyBands for flexibility.

IIRC the only time you write that you use JS (Andy) bands is after hockey practice. Is this the only time you use them or the only time you write it down. Of korse I could be not remembering correctly.

Mickey,

I use the bands 3 times a week at least. Once on Saturday after hockey and a couple of times after MA training in the evening. The other nights I'll work isometrics after MA. When things get banged up, I'll get in some band work for whatever may be ailing me at the time.

16kg sling shots/Fig'r 8's 1:00
Sandbag bear hug/walk-untimed.

Sandbag rest periods were kept short making sure form was as good as possible and breathing was still on the heavy side when starting the next exercise.

Rested 2 minutes after sandbag work.
Rest between the KB cleans was at 30 seconds, and took an extra minute before the sandbag bear hug/walk.

Sandbag bear hug/walk- went as far possible without coughing up both lunges, dropped the bag, rested till everything was calmed down and returned.

Took some rest, then went in the Ocean water for a few minutes just to relax.....Felt damn good too.

Crusty,

You've probably been asked this a million times, but is the dousing (sp) really magic manna?

Gav,

What I find with the dousing first thing in the morning like that, is that it wakes me up, gets the blood pumping real well and has a very calm feeling that lasts with me till lunch time at least. As far as the magic mania.... I dunno, I seem to be better off since doing it the last few years.

For me the best part is the early morning rush I get followed by the extended calmness that follows.

Sandbag bear hug/walk-went for distance.

Kept the rest periods short, made sure breathing and heart rate were still on the heavy side when starting the next exercise. Trying to keep the pace on the quicker side today. Elbows still barked a bit when doing the CnP, so I adjusted the grip accordingly and that helped a little bit.

Took 2 minute rest before starting the bear hug/walk.

On the bear hug/walk, went basically for distance so I just grabbed the bag and motored through the sand as far as I could go, dropped the bag, rested till sanity reappeared, then went back. Stretched out fingers, forearms, and wrists when finished.

Dynamic stretching.

Weezer/Geezer H.L.

Warm up laps with lunges to the front and back.
Some twists, windmill type stuff, and deep breaths.

Worked some mobility stuff around pylons, but a whole lot of footwork in the face off circles themselves.

Stride work around the circles, across the blue lines, forward and back the length of the ice. Some real slow stride work, some at medium speed, and some at full speed.

Finished up with some more scrimmage. Not a lot of numbers today as far as people showing up, but enough to get some things done and have some fun. The ice was good, and the building was once again quiet.

On ice 90 minutes
Off ice AndyBands for flex work and relaxation.

Rest periods were kept short between sandbag exercises. Started next set when ready- breathing still on the heavy side.

Took 1 minute rest before KB snatch- did 25 reps on the right side switched on the fly and did 25 on the left, switched again, 25 on the right, then 25 on the left. Took two minute rest after snatches.

Bear hug/walk was done for distance, dropped the bag rested and made the trek back. Stretched out fingers, wrists and forearms when finished.

Jumped in the water for about 10 minutes and floated around to help with relaxation.

Sandbag bear hug/walk-just went for distance.

CnP's were done with some caution, the elbows are a bit on the touchy side. The left is still somewhat tight for the first few reps, but after that seems fine. The right isn't so bad after the first couple, but still looks like a small doorknob from hell.

Kept rest periods short for the sandbag work.
Rested 2 minutes before KB work and 30 seconds between the cleans and snatch.
Rest was 2 minutes before sandbag hug/walk.
After stretching out the fingers and forearms, jumped in the water for about 10 minutes for relaxation.

Weezer/Geezer H.L.

Warm up laps with lunges thrown in, front and back. Did some twisting to get the blood going and some deep breaths.

Not much going on today since there was all of 5 of us today. Some guys were out of town, some were just flaking, even the coaches were up in Reno for a conference so it was only us die hards that made it ;-)

I basically took the 90 minutes and used it for skating the bejezus out of myself while listening to the mp3 player with the tunes of Maiden, Sabbath, Rush, Tool, and The Who blasting away.

All was good when finished and I was sure calm afterwards.
Off ice AndyBands for flex work and relaxation.

Only a few of us again today so everyone was working on something different. I skated hard for 60 minutes and called it a day. Did listen to the mp3 blasting away once again- Tool, Sabbath, Maiden, Ozzy- it helped get the job done.

Reps for the KB work was at a steady pace, slower than I'd want on a regular basis but a nice starting point none the less. Rest periods were taken after each exercise and a bit longer than normal since this type workout hasn't been done in a while.

Jumped in water for about 10 minutes to relax.

Same workout as Wednesday minus the SLDL and bear hug/walk with the sandbag.

Rest was taken after each exercise, didn't time it, just went when ready.
Farmer walks were a bugaboo, would've liked to have used the 32kg bells instead of the 24's but the left elbow still wont straighten all the way.
Nice sand storm I made on the way back trying to get to the finish without coughing up a lung or dropping the bells.
