Blood, Sweat & Tears

Post by Mr Clean » Fri Apr 04, 2008 2:26 pm

My contribution to the IGX training forum. Mainly done with kettlebells although more and more bodyweight drills and running/walking added. My training is centered around consistant scheduling and effort. I try to add enough variety to make periodic progress yet maintain enough consistancy to retain the progress I have made. I train for no specific event but rather a high level of health and fitness. Basically I want to be able to drink as much Heineken and Becks as I want and fill my face with pizza. Thanks for reading.

The Tara clip of the pushups is pretty impressive, she's definately strong. A lot of those pushup variations are straight out of Grapplers Toolbox, the original one Sonnon put out...Her flying frog advanced is like an uber-pumped quad-hop of Sonnon's.

5 x 20
2 x 10/10

Didnt feel all that great today. No grip, technique questionable. Time to back down a little.

Agreed....very useful clip and thanks for posting that, Mr. Clean. I was inspired to do a set of the crawling push-ups earlier this week. Yes, I said "a set," tough stuff!

04/13/2008, Sunday

LCCJ (2 x 24kg)

4 X 15
6 X 10
Jerk technique improving. Paying more attention to location of bell handle in hand resulting in beter transmition of power and less wrist fatugue.

Swing (1 arm/32kg)
3 X 10

Front squat 2 x 24kg
3 x 5
Done to help re-hab left quad. Been having patella problem last few months. Started quad isometrics per someone on forum. Isometrics have been helping.

04/28/2008 Monday

24k Swing R/L
34
30
2x20 w/30lb vmax weight vest

2 X10 Bodybuilders w/30lb weight vest

3 X 1 Pistol 12kg

Weight vest really adds difficulty to workout. I always feel better when I combine KB and bodyweight work in same session. Workout completed in about 20 minutes.
