Goals for 2008
-Stay healthy
-Press 150x5
-Squat 315x5

Sunday July 20 - Easing into my routine.

Squat
45x10
135x5

Press

115x3
125x5 x3

DL
135x5
225x5
315x5
370x1 * PR
410x1 * PR

Surprised myself, my PR was 355 for 5 and I pulled 410.

July 24 PM - 182.6lb

Squat
45x10
135x5
205x2
225x5 x5

Press
45x10
95x5
115x3
130x5 x3

Push Press
150x3
150x2

DL
155x5
225x5
315x3
370x3 *

Chins
70x5 x3
0x20

Decent workout, huge dinner prior. Added some volume to the squat to get my groove back, felt good. Press felt heavy I think I need to gain some weight - my aim will be ~190 to start. Attempted new DL 5rm at 370, got 3 which is still a PR for reps. Chins feeling decent, burned out with some volume.

45x10
135x5
205x3
230x5 x3

Power Clean
135x3
155x3
165x3 x3

Tired, just messing around this afternoon. My youngest woke up so the session was cut short.

July 29 - PM - 184.6lbs

Squat
45x10
135x5
205x3
255x2
275x1
295x1 *
305x1 F
300x1 *
275x3
275x2

Press
45x10
95x5
115x3
135x5 x3

DL
155x5
225x5
315x2
365x5 *

Chins
70x5 x3
0x10
0x10

Decent session. Went for some squat singles - PR of 295 and 300 which is good. Failed at 305 but had gas in the tank, being cautious. Press was tough at 135 may need to shift to 3x3 and gain some weight. New 5r PR of 365 for DL, made me dizzy.

July 31 PM - 186lbs

Squat
45x10
135x5
205x3
235x5 x5

Bench
45x10
135x5
205x3
235x5 x2
235x4
235x1

Power Clean
135x3
155x3
165x2
175x2
185xF
185xF

Chins
0x10
0x10

Squats were good, decent volume and proper depth. Bench was tough on the last set and had to finish with a single. PC was moving with good speed but wasn't able to rack 185. Too much work on squats and bench. Finished in under an hour.

August 2 187lbs

Swimming with family

Sprints
15s sprint 30s rest x 5

Front Squat
45x10

45x10
95x5
115x5
95x10 x 2

DL
135x5

First time doing sprints, good way to burn yourself out. Pretty hungover so the session was a little lack lustre. I'm going to shift my training towards more fun and enjoyment. I think my GPP needs some work.

Got a stinky ball, first session with it. Don't really know what I'm doing in terms of technique but it's tiring and feels like I am using some new muscles. Not sure how to fit this into my barbell routine, whether it should be used for warmup or on a day of it's own. Kids think it's funny picking it up - my son can DL more than his bodyweight at 4 years old!

Nicely done, WobbyTesticle!

Good luck with the smoking cessation, as well.
