5/16 hit 200 balls in 65 and 85 cage with 33 wood bat. Bigger and heavier bat.

5/17 select team practice. Good results from swing tweak on backside elbow and knee moving forward with hip once front foot gets down. Hit some shots the other way. Nice.

5/21 fielded 100 outfield balls with a guest fungo hitter who can really hit skyshots.

5/22 2.5 hour select practice. good work.

5/23 hit 300 balls in 65 and 85 cages, then 50 soft toss and 500 off tee

took memorial weekend off with flu. Got some body work done by chiro after some shoulder lat issues 6/1

5/31 hit 140 balls
6/1 hit 100 balls
6/2 hit 100 balls
0-2 in game. ugly loss.

6/3 hit 50 off tee then 0-2 in loss. Hit ball to warning track and another right at SS. 1BB. frustrated.
6/4 hit 25 soft toss and 25 off tee then went 0-1 in game. Pressing a bit popped up first pitch. Hit 80 balls in cage on way home.

6-6 hit off tee and long toss.

6-14 0-2 just overpowered playing up against varsity kids hitting 85-88.

made some more adjustments and hit well between 85 cage and curveball cage

pullups slow x8

made soem more rotational swing adjustments and went to 33/30 vice 32/29. Good results.

but 6/23 through 6/26 hit at leats 100 balls in cage and played at least a agame a day. 15U team is overwhelmed by 16/17 competition

Took week off. Have discovered eye issues that need to be dealt with medically. Prognosis good.

hit 120 in cage befroe game 1

won game 1, lost game 2.

Eye issue may be improving!

2-3 with a 2B, 3B, two walks and hbp, 3SB and caused 2 balks. 5RBI and 4 runs. Best day in a LONG time. 2B was off lefty who jammed him once too often. 3B was off a 1-2 2 seamer from kid bringing the gas at 85-88. Hard to describe the beauty of watching the line drive sail over the CFer's head.

hard work pays off, but sometimes not quickly. Back at it today.
