Deads felt good had a phone call from the assholes at work that pissed me off and supplied me with the mojo to hit the reps.

Wednesday, Februuary 3

Squats

1 set of 5 with 225
1 set of 5 with 275
1 set of 5 with 315
3 sets of 5 with 385
1 set of 5 with 405

Stiff Legged Deadlifts

3 sets of 8 with 145

DB Bench Press

5 sets of 5 with 105's

Ab Pulldowns

My lower back was somewhat fried from shoveling snow, but I managed to make it through the workout unscathed. Its funny that by the time I get to my final set with the 405 I felt warmed up and the reps were easier than the work sets with 385. Still well off my max, but I am happy to coast in order to push the deads. The wonders of senior citizenship.

Sunday, February 7

Deadlifts (Double Overhand)

1 set of 5 with 225
1 set of 5 with 275
1 set of 3 with 325
1 set of 3 with 365
1 set of 3 with 405

DB surgs

3 sets of 10 with 105's

Pulldowns

3 sets of 8 with 160

Russian Twists

Rep PR with the 405. The Stifflegged DL's are really helping address that weak spot in my lower back and its helping the Deadlifts. Did some pulldowns and DB surgs to mix it up a bit.

More fucking snow, its depressing. Squats felt Good, as did the SLDL's. Kicking around the idea of swapping out the DB Benches for Inclines or Close Grips, but I am hesitant to change anything Cuz nothing is broken.

The 445 felt heavier than it should, but being that I haven't squated in 2 weeks and matched what I did last time, I'm not bitchin`.

Back still fucked somewhat even after the Chiro visit so I bagged the squats. I'm hoping a couple more treatments will put me on the straight and narrow path back.

Back was feeling good enough for me to try and do some squats. Was planning on going only up to 365, but felt no problems so I belted up and did another set with 405.

Deadlifts (Double Overhand)

1 set of 3 with 275
1 set of 1 with 315

Back felt really good up to and including the first couple of sets with 395. Then I started noticing some discomfort at the lockout. Sucks.

Back felt pretty good. The set with 365 felt heavier than it should, but who's complaining. Psoas stretching seems to be just what the Dr ordered.
