I lost one of my good friends and mentors this past week. John Kemper, a winner of both the Mr. New Jersey and Mr. USA, taught me everything I know about training 30 years ago. Took an interest in helping me because “I had good Karma”. Diamond Gym was the place to train in New Jersey, bar none. Had the opportunity to train alongside and with professional bodybuilders, powerlifters, Wrestlers and football players. All the champions came out of that Gym. What energy, there will never be another place like it with you gone. I thought you would live forever, but life takes no prisoner’s.

You’ll be missed my friend, but never forgotten.

BD and TOM, thanks for the kind words, support and for checkling out the log. Kemper was a good guy, with a uniqueness like I've never seen before. Running the gamut of being a bad ass and mixing it up with anyone, to a child like innocence that would let him get away with murder.

Had to workout Saturday morning and after having a waffle with peanut butter went at it. This early am shit ain't what it used to be. Squats felt heavy and had to use a belt for last set. Missed second rep on depth so I did a foru rep as a penalty. Everything else felt heavy as well, but got the reps in. Didn't rows or Other misc menutia and called it a day. Odd thing was I got a pump like I haven't seen in knows how long. Weird.

I’m going to be pushed for time for a spell, so I’m going to freelance for awhile.  Squat warm-ups felt on the heavy side.  Added a belt for the top set with 405, which felt much easier.  Had a few more reps in me, but didn’t want to push my luck.
