Yes, these are the lifts I'm going to use.

Front squat mostly because I can't back squat.
Incline press because I haven't done it in probably 15 years
Wtd pullups cause I like pullups

The curls are just cause and maybe dropped or subbed with something else as the mood strikes me.

3 x 20 cable machine shrug x stack plus 5 2 1/2# add on weights (stack says 200 but who knows)

Stress wise at work there's an increase cause I absolutely fucked myself by getting promoted and reassigned. I went through the process to practice for the next round and somehow impressed the Chief enough that he picked me.

Aborted 8 miler when partner took a faceplant at mile 3.

No serious damage but skinned palms and hurt pride meant the rest wasn't going to happen.

Race day is on the 17th.

My theory on long runs like yours is that the purpose of the first 11.3 miles is to soften you up for the last 2, which is where all the experiencing takes place.

I think it was mile 10 when the positive self talk began. You know, "Come on you pussy motherfucker just finish. What a bitch you are, you going to let 3 little fucking miles kick your ass?" And so on until the finish.

Last run before half. 3 miles in 20:09.

Might do light weights on Friday but doubt it.


Thursday will probably be my last day on shift fire work for awhile. I am going to be reassigned the training academy. It is usually a two year bid. I don't know how to act I haven't had a regular work week for 15 years. The good news is it has an awesome gym so I can train while on duty consistently.

Lots of rest between rounds

First real back squats in around 8 months since screwing up shoulder. Found an Airrosti (sp) doctor and it's helping. It's like accupressure or ART but it works better than I expected.
