Threw sheaf my sheaf sucks I made it. I did not take my time. It is 3 or 4 bagged, the top bag is burlap the others are plastic feed bags. I can get as many of the 100lbs feed bag as I want for free took 15 throws

Deck of cards workout. my 11 year old nephew did this worout with me and the crossfit girl.

ace = 1
jack =11
queen = 12
king = 13

diamonds = push ups
spades = jump squats
clubs = hello dollies
hearts = med ball push throws

we did it in about 40 minutes or so. at the end my nephew was cutting short some of the reps and that to me was ok. he did great.

Just did some wade fishing and kayaking

Went to the doc, he says achilles tendinitis. I have been doing my stretching, but I have to stretch the achilles more. He has me doing some stretches 4 to 5 times a day. No more jump squats, bounds and sled pushes with a super long stride, for a wile.

Took some sheaf throws, did a bunch of grip and fooled around with the kbs. The foot did not hurt at all working out. I have pain at times when I walk

Sux about the foot problem.  I am just getting over a similar ailment.  Never gets the proper time to heal when you’re walking on it all the time and for me my livelihood is walking on steel, which made the recovery even slower.  Was able to continue training, but I cut down my volume on squats and switched out of Olympic training shoes for Somba’s which put less pressure on it.  Did your doc give you a cortisone shot? What type of stretches did he have you do?

Thanks for reading. No shot, backing off the lifting and stretching was my docs big thing.
stretches he gave me gastroc- standing, soleus- standing, glastrocsileus- standing, achilles-tendinitis, plantar-flexors, plantar -flexors eccentric, plantar -flexors seated. Did you get the shot? If you did, did it help? He never said anything about a shot just something about a walking boot if I do not take this serious and hurt it worst.

threw 12lb shot, made about 14 throws. on the last throw had some pain so I stopped.

I didn't go to the Dr. I understand that some Dr's advise against the shot due to the possibility of potential Achilles tears down the road. So if I wasn't able to get it, thought I could do just as much good on my own. It's a pesky injury that you can work around. Good luck with it and hope it heals up fast for you. Good time to do some fishing.

Thanks for the reply.

For the next few weeks I am going to for the most part free style kbs, grip and some odd lifts. I am not going to keep trakc of the reps or the sets, just the total time training. No set time just what feels good for that day. I will be throwing as much as I can even if it is med balls. my next games are 9/29/12. I am going to do my own full practice games on 9/15/12. if all is going well with the foot I am going to start some dl, squating and heavy training for me around 8/18/12 and then around 9/8/12 go back to carry hinge squat push pull. I will be throwing all along.

rode bike to work. the crossfit girl made up the workout. because of my achilles I did ghr for sled push. I did as many as I could inthe time it took her to push the sled up and back.
