Still at 157. Thinking it may be nuva ring as i am on 1100 calories per day and doing 500 calories worth of cardio daily in addition to weights and throwing. Also, i know i am holding a lot of water and poop.

I know i can cut water at the end but am hoping to only have to cut 3-4 lbs vs 8-10. Zero would be ideal.

Just cardio yesterday, had to take mom to the hospital for post operative pain. Going to do some snatches and rowing this morning. Going to walk during an hour long phone conference at noon and hopefully throw this afternoon. Need to work the heavy hammer.

155.1 this morning. Not sure about going to CA anymore. My mom is in the ICU and has been all week. Unexpected surgery complication.

She passed away this morning. My husband is urging me to compete and I think I will if for nothing else, the distraction.

153.7 this morning. Going to row and throw today. Main goal is not to hurt myself.

Thank you. She was a big part of our family. Trying to drag everyone through this process of saying goodbye. I am still in a bit of shock. My kids are devastated.

153 this morning. Started the water cut yesterday. Its good to have something to focus on for now.

Well, I made weight. 148.8 with my pants on. It is very clear that I need to get a coach to help me with my stones and hammers, they sucked and took me out of a possible 5th place finish down to a 9th place finish (out of ten). Also the caber was awful and I think I was a little wrung out by the end of the day so I didn't get a good degree score, but no one was able to turn the damn thing.

Going forward, I'm going to try and stay close to this weight. Lightweight worlds is in November and although I should qualify regardless, I need to get some better numbers. I also need to squat more.

My knees are really not happy with me these days, but I think it may just be my age. It comes and goes and doesn't really keep me from doing anything. I think I just need to continue the rehab and maybe get some better knee sleeves.

Getting back in the gym now. Not sleeping well. Still having a hard time just thinking through the day. Very distracted. But overall, been holding it together. I decided to hire a throwing coach to help me out both with my throws and my training. I am having a hard time doing this myself and I really want to compete at LW worlds this fall.

Weight is holding steady around 152. Hoping to stay here.

Monday: hour long walk with dog, snatches, reverse hypers, and quad extensions
Tuesday: dog walk, bench with rows, lat pulldowns, seated rows, chest flyes, biceps/triceps, and leg raises

My knees are really bothering me. Need to get back to some single leg work and stop wearing heels.

Been squatting every other day. Snatches and cleans twice a week. Back and shoulder work, core, leg rehab (abductor/quads/hamstrings), and cardio every day. Knees are starting to feel better. I'm stronger than I thought.

Knees had a huge setback yesterday. Its sudden acute pain from . .. sitting in the car. Trying to be reflective and I think that the problem may be the quad extensions. When I do them without abductor work, they bother me. When I use them very light as a way to warm up for squats, I'm good. More squats feel good. So, need to adjust how I'm doing things and be more observant.

Just cardio binging the last few days. Need to get back to weights tomorrow. Looks like its my basement gym for now, but I have everything I need down there.

158.5 this morning. Started a light workout this morning, db deadlifts, goblets squats, and ring rows followed by 25 minutes on the rower. Back on macros: 140 carbs/48 fat/140 protein.

My grief is often rage. I dont know what to do with it so I have just been stuffing it down. It has been getting tougher lately. Going to take my dad to get a dog this weekend. He needs someone to keep him company at night. And he has always had a dog until recently.

Maybe get a heavy bag or striking dummy and wail on that? Joey Diaz has been saying it's the thing keeping him sane.
