Post your training journals here if you like. I'll make back-ups to avoid losing your data.

A lot of the old time hockey players in Sweden used snuff.

:happiness: hmm... thinking about it; my long cycle numbers - if it is 57 or 67 - might not be a very important incentive if looking seriously at my vision of a "good life". But general health (and better breath :vom: ) might be a better incentive.

But I am skeptic to whether snuff gives cancer. Science says both yes and no. I never hear about "so-and-so has got mouth cancer" (as compared to eg lung cancer).

Many very fit people use snuff - I don't know about the absolute elite level nowadays though.

Enjoy the weekend!

There's science.

Well, you are grown up and tough guy. I'd say you have to die of something and doing long cycle with your lower jaw cut off would amuse IGX to no end. Live by the Sword and Die by the Sword.. all that cool stuff.

I agree. Own it, just like you said. Don't rationalize that it may or may not cause mouth cancer. Just use it and deal with the outcome. Same with anything.

Wedensday
LC 2x28kg: 32/8min, 10
Jerk 2x32kg: 5

Short session; I wanted a new PR with 28s, but cardio was bad.

Saturday
Squats 32kg: 30 (KB on back)
Bulgarian Split squat BW: 10/10

Oa bar hang: 2x 20/20sec
Oa farm hold 36kg: 1min/1min

The bad cardio Wedensday turned out to be due to a cold and fever. Feeling better I did some light lifting yesterday.

Sunday 17th[/b
DL: 110kg x 6; 140kg x 4; 150kg x 2; 160kg x fail (#//!!); 140kg x 4
Bench press 80kg: 4,4,3,3

Biceps curl /barbell 20kg: 3x 12 reps

Tuesday 19th
LC 2x20,2x24,2x28kg: 5reps each
LC 2x32, 2x30, 2x28kg: 10rep each

OH lockout hold 2x20kg: 5x 20sec

Cold is a lot better, so I decided to lift some kettlebells while not straining lungs and heart too much. Cardio had gotten a lot worse.

Hi Bill, Yes, indeed heavy bells are funnier. Light bells are like sallad, healthier and better for your lifting, but not very tasty :happiness:

Thanks Bill and Dunn! :happiness:

Sunday
Deadlift 120kg: 5,5;130kg: 5; 140kg: 4; 150kg: 1; 160kg: 1; 162,5 kg: 1; 120kg: 5

Bench press 80kg: 5,5,4,4,3

After my new LC Personal Best I was drained and sore. I did two bleak LC sessions Wedensday and Friday. Some weak heavy reps, and some half-hearted endurance lifting - I don't even bother to write it down. I should have done something else than LC.

The Deadlifts today were nice, no PR but the 162,5 came easy of the floor.

Tuesday 3rd
Jerk 2x28kg: 3x 10reps
Jerk 2x24kg: 10, 20
Jerk 2x20kg: 20

Clean 2x28kg: 45, 9rpm

My Fixometer arrived yesterday and I tried it today. I will write a review further ahead. I believe it is a good training tool. A bit like over-head holds but more fun... All reps were correct today (from a judging point of view), but several reps I had to hold the lockout for several secs. Still, it feels like one learns to satisfy the fixometer. We'll see. Fun anyway.

Thursday 5th
LC 2x28kg: 15/3min, 12/2min
LC 2x24kg: 21/3min

LC with fixometer 2x24kg: 10, 20

The fixometer sets were untimed and with technique focus. I am not ready for fast fixometer sets.

Saturday 7th
Oa LC 32kg: 12/12
Oa swing 32kg: 20/20

Squat: 50kg x10reps; 70kg x 10reps; 80kg x 10reps

Bench press 80kg: 4,4,3

Sunday

LC 2x20kg w fixometer: 46reps /10min

An easy form session.

Tuesday 10th
LC 2x28kg: 34/8min

With fixometer:
Jerk 2x24kg: 14
Oa jerk 32kg: 5/5
Oa jerk 36kg: 5/5

Bar hang: 1,5min

Thursday 12th
Jerk 2x24kg with fixometer: 24,21,20 (3min sets)

Snatch 20kg: 3min/3min (no counting, just for adapting to snatch)

I like the Fixometer; it helps against my slow dips. I suspect it makes me hold my breath in lockout, though (to get more still and get green light). Still, evaluating...

Saturday14th
Deadlift 110kg x 6reps; 130kg x 5reps; 150kg x 1; 160kg x 1; 165kg x 1 rep; 130kg x 4reps

Squat 50kg: 2x 10reps

Bench press 80kg x 3reps; 85 kg x 3reps

A nice lifting day. I am keeping deadlift volume very low (few reps and ca every 14th day) so it does not interfere with the important things - GS lifts. Pulled double body weight (82,2kg) - I wanted it on film but it turned out to be a lot of pics of my shoes instead :-).

Sunday 15th
All with fixometer 4min sets
Jerk 2x24kg: 24,23
Jerk 2x20kg: 28

Snatch 20kg: 2min/2min (no count)

Lifting with Fixometer means local-tolerance-of-lactic-acid-training in triceps for me at this point of time. A way to go for older dudes.

Wedensday
BU presses 12kg while before dinner, total 50/50

Thursday
LC 2x24kg: 42 / 6min (time/rep PR)

Jerk 2x28kg with fixometer: 2x 10reps

Another set at my 10min max rpm +1 (=7 rpm) . Very tiresome actually. And did not get a lot done afterwards.
So far, I like the fixometer as a training tool. I don't believe in it for judging, yet; but I've been wrong before.

Saturday

LC 2x28kg: 10x 6reps, 6rpm, & one min rests

Some goblet squats

I think lockouts were more tidy.... the fixometer training?
