Set up with some light band tension around wrists when you deadlift, pulling out and away from your body. The lats will immediately engage, which helps keep a more solid, integral core

No..why? Am I doing it wrong? I did have to strap up on account of some tennis elbow situation.

I pretty much do this....

Actually crossways. High chest kinda like a stone load. Otherwise is presses against my neck meat and face meat.

A very rugged week and change. don't Ask

Didn't do much except a bunch of chins and various curls every day...again..don't ask.

Did discover a super nasty way to jack up your elbow. KB bottoms up hammer curl to press. 24k...managed a few singles each side with some english. this is a terrible idea. That said, using a 16 a bit more english is super interesting. I'll keep those for now.

Today.

Closer Grip BP-coah has me doing a lot of CGBP which I have been doing about pinky an in from the ring by an inch as I bench ring finger on the ring in comp. These are thumb from smooth and disastrously harder.

Close Grip Bench is weird because I find it difficult to touch with close grip. For a fun challenge try bottom up pressing a 24 with an 8kg bell balanced on top!

Thumb-from-smooth is the only way I can bench with manageable pain.

A hair wider and I'm done.

All of my benches in training and the raw meet were this way.

I hate all you guys who can use a real grip.

I find I can train more often with pinky on ring, but it's more of a smooth, controlled bench. When I try a full hands width in from the rings, it becomes powerful and quick. I find myself gravitating towards training comp Grip, but competing closer grip.

It took me a full year to get there and my bench is still shitty....so
