"Endurance is patience concentrated." - Thomas Carlyle

10-5

Box squats
Titan briefs/Elite Fitness knee sleeves
45-135-185-225-275-315-365 x3 405 x2

Harder to hit the box than go up with the weight. No knee caving, long sit on the box, and damn did it feel solid. I'm striped up like a tiger from my belly button to the tops of my thighs.

Left all my stuff on and drove home. Drug a bundle of chain for just under 12 1/2 minutes.

I've got drive and focus like I've never had in my life. I may never be great but I'm going to work my ass off and make the top end guys sweat a little when I'm around. If you're ahead you'd better not fall down or you may have my foot print in the middle of your back.

I think I saw this in person when a buddy of mine competed in two divisions in one day, ripped up his hand, and bit the dirt but never stopped trying to kill it.

Did I mention I'm giving up beer for a while so I can focus on my training? Holy gorilla jeebus! I've lost my mind.

I don't know what you said to the Amazon but she's really looking forward to seeing you again not to mention she really wants to meet Jezzy.

I will be at Triad if I can get in. The B class fills quick. In the past they had to beg for women.

Yeah crazy I know.

10-7
Speed squats?
225
8x2
Deficit deads
135-225-275-315 x3
1 arm dumbbell press
50-60-70 x5
1 arm dumbbell push press
80-90-100 x3

Yeah I'm stupid. I know. This was addressed last night in the mantervention but I'm stupid.

It was fun but now I need to figure out my new plan. And I've got to bust this damn sore spot in my lower back.

I'm thinking volume 80-90 percent, doubles and triples, and then volume after the core lift. Much similar to my last plan but not as many exercises.

I need to build implements this weekend.

I'm whooped.

LOL

I wore them again today.

No bench shirt for me. I'm thinking about a slingshot or ram though.

I'm cool man. I'm cool.

I've dropped beer and bourbon for coffe and food on the weekends. All for the sake of making a showing in November against the Icelandic Death Machine.

I have lost my damn mind.

I'd also like to add this place is over run with horrible trolls or rant sock puppets.

Doused in absorbine and wrapped in plastic wrap with the Jon Pol stone next to me head. Time to dream of doing stupid and painful things that make me smile.

Did some stretching, mobility work, PVC rolling, and the Amazon hit my calves with the Stick.

Goodnight man fuckers.

Tell me about the briefs man. How do you feel using them? Any issues? I love the stability in the hips personally and not having sore hips the next day.

LOL

Exactly Quack. I'm not bitching so much as stating the obvious. As bad as it gets sometimes it's still one of the best forums I've ever posted on. And thanks.

TOM, I dig the hip stability, not as much hip pain, the maintained warmth, and they make me sit way back onto the box so there is no patella pain at all. I just need to figure out how high to pull them on my legs.

Spent the day with the wife and kids. Ate lunch with mom and dad, spent 3+ hours at the fair, did some stretching, PVC rolling, and soopah ball therapy on my lower back earlier today and tonight, took the dogs on a short walk, watched Tales From the Script, a doc about screen writers, and now I'm in bed, sober and enjoying a nice healthy dose of irrational anger.

The low back and hip pain isn't the sick pain that means something is wrong, it's the happy suffering and soreness that means stuff has been forced back near where it should be. Or at least I hope it is.

Life is good.

10-9
Family throwing session
Shot overhead, braemar w/ shot, braemar w/ 26# field stone, hammer winds w/ mulebell 5 ea direction 6-10-15-20-25 pounds

The Amazon and kids threw a 5# stone and the 16# shot for the braemar. The Amazon did weight over bar practice with the shot and 16k bell, kids used the 5# stone and shot. The girl got the stone over, the boy had the height on the shot but it was in front of the bar, the Amazon had it outside but once she moved under the bar she wasn't able to pull it off.

Lots of fun.

Came home and walked the dogs.

10-10

Back is fried, hips are "off?" but neither is necessarily bad.

Snatchies
40-50-60-70-70-70 x2 kilos
Baux skwats
5 × 160
5 × 195
3 × 235
5 × 255
5 × 295
8 × 335

Cut and run. Will add some upper body work next week.

The gym is way too busy this time of day. I spent almost as much time waiting for a rack as I did in the dang thing.

Icing my back. It freaks on me when I arch but no issues with a near neutral spine.

4 hours of sleep last night, 12 hours at work, I didn't do much but I got it done.

I'm going back to 5-3-1 and the hybrid plan.
