Did some mace swinging, kettlebell juggling(that shit is way harder than it looks), hammer winds with the ballistica, and some hand to hand stuff with an 8# shot. Came inside and did a few single bell overhead squats with a 16(UGLY), some dislocates, some stretching, and band squats.

Shoulder was twingey and I felt stiff so I figured I'd get the blood flowing a bit.

Shitty day for training great day otherwise.

Took a nap before work, got called jumped up to work out.

Got 2 rounds done and could not control my breathing. Backed up and punted.

What did we learn? Rituals are important. Longer warm ups are more important than the actual workout and my regular warmup is what I need every time. Timing of the workout is a bigger deal than I expected. I do much better training in the afternoon. I didn't wear my nuthuggers and I just don't feel right in regular shorts. Also I failed to drink enough water. So it is what it is.

Worked all night, slammed a ton of water, slept about 6-7 hours after work, got up and got it in.

It was a day or two late but I'll count it as a win.

Left lowback/hip flexor/psoas/quad were all jacked. Set out to just do my warm up. Warm up went well, so I moved on to long cycle. It went well enough that I finished. Seriously considered dropping cleans since I'm pretty sure this is where I fucked myself up but my twinge forced me to focus more on my clean and just do what I can. Knocked it out. Things went better than expected. First swim meet of the season tomorrow for the girl and I'm off work for it.

No dislocation just a we bit of soreness. I started to turn felt/heard a little pop and immediately stopped all movement. I'll definitely be wrapping it up and sparring less or not at all for a few days or a week.
