2/22:

DL: 5x135/5x165/3x195/5x245/3x275/3x310(1+, this should have been a hint)/1x325/1x335/345f/245x8x2
BBrow: 135x8x3
BBCurl: not done, left forearm/elbow pain

The weak 1+ was a clue that I was going to miss the PR today. Just two back-offs to give myself a bit of a break. Feel tired.

LSD: 30 min on gerbil wheel. 1 up, 5.5 mph, 2.75 mi. HR 156/128
HLR: 3x12
Chins: 8/4 - stopped again due to tricep twinge. Odd how it is coming and going. Last time around cost pretty good

2/25

BP: 5x95/5x115/3x135/5x155/5x170/11x190(5+ set, 2 rep PR)/ 5x205/5x215/155x8x3
DB row: 70x8x3

Working on my arch for BP, something I've never really paid much attention to - I've pretty much just "benched" with the notable exception of selecting close grip over normal these last few years as my shoulders like it more. Seemed to go pretty well. Nice and tight and less of a struggle to keep my ass down.

Saving intervals or cardio for later as "home" is going poorly and I suspect I will yet again need to blow off steam/ depression effects.

No curlz today as I have a nasty bit of tendonitis in my left forearm. Ouch.
BS was hard today for some reason. I mean really hard. Weird.

Pressing movements continue to "like" the volume and move up smoothly, so that's nice even though my squat numbers continue to suck big-time. Weight is pretty much holding between 215-220, which makes me hungry as fuck the day I BS or DL. I'd like to get to a holding weight of 210-215, but I'd be satisfied if I could simply fry the rest of the flab off of my middle. Fucking crazy - in my mid-40's and all of a sudden I want abzzzzzz. Sweet baby Jeebus... :axe: :axe: :axe: :axe:

DL: 135x5/170x5/200x3/220x5/250x5/285x8(5+, 10# PR @ 8RM)/ 5x300/220x8x3
Supersets:
Hammer Curl: 45x8x3
DB Row: 75x8x3

Hammers evidently don't hurt the forearm (although not as direct to teh biceps, so not as nice for teh girlie admirations), so I will do them until the forearm tendonitis passes.

3/26:

BS: 135x5/155x5/185x3/200x5/230x5/260x6(5+)/275x5 - felt like crap. stopped here.
TBRDL: 242x8x3
BB Curl: 75x8x3

I am pretty frustrated with BS. I "feel" like I am not making any progress on the squat, and am uncertain what the exact issue is. When I hit the upper 200's I feel like i am collapsing in the middle. I'm considering resetting next month and trying to climb back up again, but with a more incremental approach to the backoff sets (increasing the weight week in a different way). Need to think about it some more though.

A couple of weeks off for leave and a break. Played some golf, goofed off, and ran a little (which seems to have earned me a sore left knee - bonus). Reset all four lifts from 1RM of: BS: 295; DL: 345; BP: 275; SP: 195 as inputs into the 5/3/1 calculator.
