I should keep this info somewhere, and I'm to lazy to do it elsewhere.

Saturday: teaching a clinic on O lifting. During the break, snatched in pounds 135, 155, 185,205x2; 215, 2225x1; had five minutes before I had to start teaching again, do I did clean and jerks: 135, 185, 225, 275, 315 for singles, took four minutes.

My only short term goal is to win USAW Master's Nationals in a couple weeks. If my shoulder works, it won't be hard. If not, I'll be in a battle.

Morning: one to one and a half mile or so hike with my daughter. She's four now and can handle long walks, which means I get to indulge myself again and discover ask the trails and parks around me. The hikes with the kids are always easy but long; lots of learning, track identification, bird id, etc.

Evening: snatch, pause at knee, press behind the neck 50, 60, 70 x2
Snatch 80x2, 90x1

Knee/ left quad hurt, couldn't fire without pain and weakness.

Sn pulls from hang 70, 90, 100, 110 x5

One hand kb swings with the 32, sets of 20, switched hands after ten. Five sets. Stretch and roll. Beer.

Then my trainees started and I did it again:

70, 90, 110, 120, 130, 135

FS 60, 100, 140 x3

Press 60 x5, 85 x3x3

Stretch

I felt like shit. Then I remembered I'd had only two meals all day; pretty shitty ones, low calories. Bad sleep.

If I'm going to do the volume I need to become a decent lifter again I need to commit to sleep and rest and diet.

I took two weeks off due to stress from the ex-wife; I ended up training one day during thsoe two weeks: Snatch to 100 kilos for two singles, then BS to 200 kg for a double.

Last week I got back into it again:

Day 1
SN 50,60,70,80,90, x2x2; 100 x1 x4
CL+J 70, 90, 110 x2+2 for two sets each
BS 70,120,170, x5, 200 x3
RDL [email protected] (all weights in kg)
2x20 20 kg kb press

Day 2
Snatch (hang) 50,60,70, 80 x2; 90 x1 (4)
Push press 70x3,80x3,90x3,100x3,110x3,120x2
one-leg squats 3x10 each leg

Day three
Cleans 70x2, 90x2, 110x2, 120

then skipped the rest of the workout as the gym was full and I needed to coach (12 lifters in my garage)

Day Four
Snatch 50,60,70,80, 90 x2
BS 70, 90, 110 x10

I threw Shot one day and di Scottish hammer on Saturday with the 18 and 22, 10 throws each

This Week so far:

Day 1 a.m. Stretch, snatch 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 x2; 95, 100 x1
Clean 90 x3 (2) I was lazy and just did the weight that was on the bar

p.m. Snatch 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 x2; 100 x1, 100x1, 105x1 (3), missed the third and repeated it. I got cocky.

Clean and jerk
70,90,110 x2+2; 120 clean only x1 (3)

BS 70x3, 120x3, 170x3, 200x1, 220x1, 180x5,150x5

RDL 120x8x3 sets

Day Two shot put for 30 throws, once again I disappoint myself in that my rotation throws no further than my standing throw. Story of my life. However, I've thrown shot for total of 5 days since I was 17, so I may have hope.

Then bodyweight workout on the blast straps: 2x20 squats, 2x15 push ups, 3x10 rows, 3x10 curls, 3x10 tricep extensions. roll and stretch.

Yesterday: Cleans 70 x2, 70 x2, 90 x2, 110x2, 120, 125, 130, 130 x1. I'm soft and weak, my back collapses when I catch the weight. Solution: Front Squats

Front Squats: 70 x3, 90 x3, 110 x3, 130x3, 150 x3

Bench press (pounds): 135 x10, 225 x5, 225x5, 225 x8. Next week 245.

Stretched a lot while I worked with the group classes, did that kettlebell turn over thing up to a 20.

Today: spent 2.5 hours on a conference call, but my daughter and whole family were gone, so I threw. I warmed up (biofreeze and knee sleeves) and took the hammers to the field. Did 10 winds to each side, my daughter showed up with her Grandfather. 30 minutes later, I resumed: 10 hammer throws, seven with the 16 and 3 with the 22. Threw shot, as mu daughter wanted to throw hers: she throws a 3 pound med ball, I threw the 16. about 10 throws, some were really nice, in the 40 foot range. We'll see if I can replicate that with the stone. My bet is low 30s. I then did 5 throws with the 56# WFH. Cleared the branch at the highest point. I need to find a higher branch.

The daughter (4 year old) threw her 4k kettlebells for distance. Then she took me through a workout : tag, leg and arm swings, more tag, log rolls, flip the tire, hopping on one leg (but never the other, she can't switch), and more tag.

Yesterday was interesting. Trained in the morning and felt great; I should have done the whole workout. the p.m. session sucked.

a.m. Warm-up

Sn 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 x2- great, fast, strong lifts

Cleans: 90, 90, 100, 110 x2- again, strong, fast, confident lifting. Had to go get my daughter from school

for the p.m. session, the heat and humidity was the worst all year so far. Usually it takes a week to get used to it, so everyone was dragging. I didn't feel great, but still managed a single in the snatch at 90%.

Sprints today, first cardio in weeks. 6x30 yrds, 4x 60 yards; bear crawls four x 20 , rolling and tumbling with the kid. Then I did the neck harness, 3x 10 x 50 lbs front and then back. My neck almost always feels better rivht away after these. Tomorrow, I hope to lift and throw.

Hey, great work. Hear you with the ex. My son is 5 years old which equals 5 years of unending stress and bullshit. I'm essentially my son's sole provider and the bitch still tries to put her thumb on me constantly. Why fix your own life when you can fuck with others, I guess.

Sheaf: 17'? I thought it was 16. There was a million way tie at the height.
WOB: 12'. Just missed 13 because I'm a pussy. 2nd Place, though
Stones: I don't even know why I throw these fucking things. Light one: 25' 3", Braemer: 21' I wasn;t last in the Braemer.
heavy WFD: 25' or somethng like that on the first throw.
Light weight: 49' 10 1/2", 1st Place
Heavy Hammer: 70' 10"; 2nd place; was in first until the last throw; the guy knocked me out of it with his only good toss.
Light hammer: 85'3". 1st. Not a bad day for very little practice and feeling like shit all week; got very little sleep, too.

All in all, I need to practice; some things I need to do anyway are sprinting and keeping up with the weight loss.
